Super Interesting Opportunity For an Auto Mechanic First off this is a paid position for a mechanic, 50-60k per year; with a perk of riding dirt bikes all around the country. Must be willing to relocate to Panama City, Fl. I am looking for someone to join me in starting a YouTube channel reviewing OHV parks private and public, motocross...

Yea I don't think I can argue with you on the prices between here and there. Past couple of years it has gotten crazy hear. You may be correct about reducing experience level also. I still may be looking for a unicorn even in that case.
Dude get your wife a better computer! Yea I have edited a few and I know it can be time consuming. I am sure with my idea I can streamline the process. And a 20 minute video is 3 or 4 videos to me. We will figure it out; or we won't. I have yet to find impenetrable wall provide...
Your post I like because it is constructive. That pay in Oklahoma City is insane. I really thought it was going to be in California. If I can't get a guy with this much experience I can always roll it back. It is hard to roll it forward.
God don't you know that is right about auctions especially lately. The sales person takes care of the paperwork, really almost everything on the inside except for the books. We use Wayne Reeves for all the deals and in Florida almost all deals are done 100% electronically. 15 to 30 minutes to complete a deal so not to bad. Definitely...
They pay them $25 to $35 per hour on book rate. But the pay is inconsistent and warranty work doesn't pay the same and they don't get paid for call backs so they end up working 60-70 hours per week for $800 per week. Or they lie and cheat the customers so they can make a little more bank. Win...

I've never heard of a new car dealer that has union techs or a service advisor that doesn't have to work Saturdays and makes over 100k a year. I'm calling BS on this one man. I live in CT where we have a higher pay rate because the cost of living is so high(I was a service manager for 10 years). It's rare to see a tech make over 75k in a dealership setting let alone an entry level tech making 80k plus. I work fork Toyota forklifts and we pluck auto techs from dealers all the time. They are...

Hell yea. What else would you expect. In fact he doesn't even need a bike. He can chase after me on foot. If he falls behind I am sure I can put a whip on the bick somewhere. You would need around 3,373.90$ in Panama City to maintain the same standard of life that you can have with 5,700.00$ in...

The right guy is out there. We've all met that dude...born with a wrench in hand, built his first computer at 11, his day has 32 hours, couldn't care less about money, knows way more about everything than his age should dictate. But, he's a needle in a stack of needles. Good luck.

Are you a video editor? 90% of editing is waiting for the computer to compile. I am no expert and don't like doing it but the process is straight forward if a little time consuming. I think we can find the time to edit a few videos a month. If it takes to long we will find someone to edit...
I can't believe the response I am getting. The negativity is real and makes me sick to my stomach. It is being made to seem like I am attempting to hire a slave and I am not lifting a finger. I am asking way to much because the job entails doing more than one specific job. Like I want this...
Texas is a bad comparison to almost anywhere in the country. I lived in Houston for years and have family all over Texas. I have nephew that makes 70k as a teacher in the Houston area. Cost of living is low comparatively to most other states. So if a tech is coming from the middle of Kansas or even Texas...
Your techs make $35 per hour up there. Damn that is nice. Shit what am I saying everyone is going to be $50 an hour if inflation keeps going up. We have techs down here that make that but they are certified master techs generally with more than 20 years experience. We are not rebuilding transmissions. We pull them and...
I am not sure. If the mechanic thing doesn't workout I will likely hire a video editor with social media and marketing experience to join me. Problem with that is it is not anywhere near a full time job. Unless you include the bike vacations. Which only a very spoiled American would even consider work. I have consider a simple...
What are you talking about? It is just riding. Is there a failure to communicate here. Fly somewhere go ride for a couple days with cameras on your head and fly back home. Edit some videos together upload them on the clock mind you. Why is everyone looking for the trap. No trap. I am not trying hiring a slave...
Where do you live? I would expect the favored tech at any shop get about that. The CVT is not the problem the price is. Am I on crack here? Am I asking for to much? Who doesn't want to go ride as much as possible? It is never a chore for me to go ride it is a privilege...
We don't have a state income tax so should be $800. You can work book rate in this area for $20 to $30 per hour and hope the shop has enough work to get you your 40 hours and deal with call backs and everything that goes with book rate. Where are you from and how much do mechanics make...
