finishing just outside the top 10 isnt "getting smoked." if you finish between 10th and 30th out of a full gate at an amateur national, youre in the right class. top 10 should move up, bottom ten had a bad day.

the top 5 finishers in every class at amateur nationals (except pro or expert, whichever is highest) are sandbaggers. end of story.

kids with this kind of speed racing C class is the issue with our sport. look at the top 50 fastest riders by lap time at LL. 8 of the top 10, including the top spot, were B class riders. the only 2 that weren't B class were Zach Bell in 2nd, and Ricky Carmichael in 7th. The first A class rider? 15th. You can't tell me that sandbagging is completely out of control anymore. These punk kids in B class don't turn pro until they land a factory ride, and in turn, the C class kids like Hodges dont...

i recall seeing a european production bike a couple years ago with a carbon fiber subframe/airbox and carbon fiber incorporated into the frame and swingarm (might have been a TM) msrp was 27K and change, and with exchange rates at what they are now, I would bet its well over 30 large. but when i case 100' jump, i'd feel much safer with aluminum under me.

No need for the hostility man. Everyone ive spoken to about these air forks has similar concerns. Obviously the engineers that designed them know far more about them than you or I ever could, but they should release something (i.e. a video) to address these common concerns from laymen. after all, its the people with desk jobs who are buying these bikes and keeping these engineers employed.

keep in mind the 2012 was nearly 10 pounds lighter than the rest of the 450s. Besides, its all about perceived weight. My concern is the forks. Air pressure changes with atmospheric conditions, as well as while riding. Won't air pressure rise from friction the longer you ride?

i hate that camera stabilization thing on these gopro videos. makes it looks like a monkey is messing with the zoom slider. good riding either way. i'd love to give that track a try

tim, shut the f*** up. ur bike still runs cuz it never gets out of 3rd gear. and DIRTMAAN, im gonna go ahead and assume 90% of everything in that engine is wasted. the way that thing let go, I'd be surprised if the cylinder head or tranny was reusable

I've seen the JT gear "In the Wild". Honestly I was pumped on it at first, but after seeing it in person I could care less. Plus when I heard that Ed Hardy was behind JT's resurrection, I lost all interest completely.
