8/8/2016 7:22pm That's correct, I'm looking for a better motor than the 525 for that frame, was kinda hoping to get a stock 2013-2015 450 engine for it. I have the all throttle body, exhuast, mounts and electrical and everything else.

8/8/2016 1:15pm Incorrect Mr.lahey. I'm kinda doing two things here. One is waiting to buy a motor to have a complete no bullshit 450. And the other is welding together garbage. Why don't you go and have another drink so the liqour can let you see it clearly.

8/8/2016 6:29am I think the main thing people don't understand here is there are actually two bikes. one needs only a motor, and the other is an abomination dreamed up from the figments of my darkest nightmares that i think is both hilarious and terrifying. there is a perfectly fine frame right beside stitchy, im not going to ruin that one.

8/7/2016 8:26pm Well honestly the welds I'm not as worried about as much as what I'm doing to get around the header. As well since the engine is usually a stressed member from the top with a bracket that used to bolt to the top of the head on the original motor. 8/7/2016 8:08pm I hear you, especially since it's chromoly not mild so brittle fracture is likely scenario. However internet tells me if it's less than 1/8" thick it doesn't need heat treatment.

8/7/2016 8:04pm Ahaha my team is a little bit backyards with some stuff, the frame got chopped by a member and used as mounts in an engine test when we were switching to 450. It's being welded by another member and myself but its his welder.

8/7/2016 8:00pm No, it's kinda "build as you go" fab so the square tube will be capped, the other side will be added and a plethora of gussets are in the mix as well. Definitely only doing flat track, and sand pits with that one, I'm thinking this will turn into two bikes but I don't know yet. It might seem strong...

6/23/2016 6:06pm So I recently purchased a 2014-1/2 SXF450 Factory Edition without an engine( engine went to my University's FSAE team) for $2500 CAN. and now i need an engine to go back in. I may or may not be in for a good deal here.
