Your interpretation of low speed (incorrect) v. low threshold energy (correct) needs to be re-calibrated. 6D's technology addresses low threshold energy absorbed by the helmet, which is what virtually any crash in the off-road/motocross world causes. Just curious, do you know where your Shoei is manufactured? Yes, 6D helmets are manufactured in China, at the same facility as the Bell Moto 9, Fox V-4...
