Yeah these stories are great, see them a lot at a lesser level. When I was racing local 65s back in the day I got T-boned on the start race one and burst a hose, no spares. We must have had about 15 people offer up spares, from the guys that were faster with spare bikes etc. Just to get us going again for race two. It was always just about getting out there and riding, for everyone. Also, UK / US relationship runs deep. Not relevant here but still!
