2/17/2026 9:03am I bought a kx500 and it came with ruined forks, the seller told me these are the right forks for the bike, but I doubt it. The part numbers are 02 y5dk-r and 02 y5dh-l Tried googling for half an hour, can’t find anything, besides that they might be wr forks or something? Anyone know? Thx for any help

2/26/2025 7:08am If you check dynos on vforces there’s hardly any gain lol. and generally they don’t need rejetting I believe? It made some of them a bit more aggressive, but power wise, I’m yet to see a pipe and a reed beat porting + head mods. Hope OP has good luck w them.

I don’t recommend the procedure normally, that’s why I tend to use boyesen (haven’t ran into boyesens that needed cutting, they might exist?). could you tell me more about them? Are there any comparable full size bikes of other brands? Or is the cr 85-86 r2f the only one of its kind? After your post I am on the hunt for one too. I’ve heard a bit about them before, but I was never too sure if they really existed. Awesome bike by the way! Would love to snatch one for my partner. How much do they weigh?
