DanCaughell331 Started a new thread Keihin PWK jetting on a 2002 CR250..??
7/10/2015 11:27am Dearest users of Vital MX forums, I have some questions about jetting a pwk for the later style case reed CR's. So it turns out my old man has a spare 39mm keihin he has laying around that's in good shape that he's going to let me borrow for awhile while I'm in town visiting next weekend. Currently I have...

7/9/2015 12:14pm Thanks for the info on jetting these things, makes my life a whole lot easier! What carb are you willing to sell? 38 or 39? And is it an A/S or just a standard PWK? Because I am in the market for a Keihin to finally finish out the motor package.

7/9/2015 12:09pm Thanks again for taking the time to school a new buck on these carbs! Well since it's my fathers carb I probably won't have the slide cut just in case he has other plans for it later once I head back to utah and snag my own pwk up. I like the sounds of the MX set up with the...

7/8/2015 9:18pm Hey digger thanks for taking the time to throw some input in, I really appreciate it. As far as the needle that's in it, I'm not 100% EXACTLY sure if it is or not. My dad and I were talking on the phone and he had just mentioned the carb because I've been talking about a keihin swap for awhile...

5/11/2015 11:54am So I've been sitting on this Motoseat cover for about 3 months and finally decided to put it on. Looks pretty good if you ask me...
DanCaughell331 Started a new thread Modernizing/ rebuilding a 2002 CR250R
5/11/2015 11:54am I'm in the rebuilding process of a 2002 cr250 and turning it into the modern day two stroke I've always wanted! I bought the bike for 2,000 from a local guy because I wanted a project bike that I could build exactly how I wanted, and I wanted to get away from the four strokes like I've owned before. Below...

5/1/2015 2:47pm No it probably wasn't, I just rotated to motor through the stroke a handful of times and took the picture when it was near the top. When I did rotate it through and go slowly, it made it all the way to the top of the cylinder. Good eye though!

4/27/2015 9:29am oh thank god finally someone comes out with a colored hose kit! the only ones I found before were through mylers, and the logo was hideous so I didn't buy them. i'll have to look into those Motohose ones for sure. the black factory ones are pretty boring IMO. thanks for the heads up!

4/1/2015 1:03pm Got the motor finished and stuffed in the bike last night
it's amazing what fresh parts will do to a tired motor, this thing runs tits! Even just idling on the stand you can tell a definitive tone and response difference. Running more heat cycles today, breaking it In tomorrow, riding the sand dunes all weekend.

3/25/2015 10:55am I definitely agree man, I had an FMF gnarly on there before and no matter what I did to try and clean it, it still looks like garbage. And as far as the RMs go, I think that the new style front fender is a must. I really like the way they look after that. And I bought a wiseco...

3/23/2015 11:49am Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to give it a look sometime this week and go from there. Hopefully a quick fix and get it mounted up. That 125 is super clean BTW!

3/23/2015 11:47am Thanks man I appreciate it! I'm just trying to get parts as money allows. But eventually it will have some nice wheels and the suspension work I want done to it

3/22/2015 4:04pm Got the bottom end together this weekend, now just have to get oiling holes drilled in the piston before it's buttoned up and back in the chassis. Then I started getting the bike back together, test fit the new exhaust and front end. Anyone have experience with drilling the 09-12 crf fender to fit the triple clamps on here? don't...

3/17/2015 3:40pm JMX82 that's a pretty trick tool you made there. i'll have to get ahold of a machine shop around here and have them mill out some slots in a chunk of 5/16 steel. it would be cheaper than $70 for one through rocky mntn or motosport.

3/17/2015 3:25pm Finally got cases split and (holy shit) it was quite the job. BUT, I did get new bearings and seals driven into the case, and the bottom end almost back together. Only thing holding me up is the dowel in the front. It's in pretty rough shape, and not sure if it's cast into the center case or supposed to...

3/17/2015 3:20pm Appreciate it man! Can't wait to finish the bike. It won't be completely finished for awhile but it will definitely have some serious progress.

3/11/2015 4:48pm Its weird though, because my crf450's NEVER came apart that hard. Used to be pretty easy. And it was from this damn bike I'm building hahah I was riding a track down in Salt Lake City and came up pretty short on a double out of a corner. Ended up snapping the Talus and mangling the cartilage into a pile...
