Awesome. I shredded on one of these when I was a young cat. I rode it 4-5 days a week. All I did was keep the filter clean and put a new piston and rings in it every once in a while. That bike just wouldn't die. It was one of the best bikes I ever owned.

Yes, they changed the midvalve settings. I'm not sure what they did exactly, but it fixed the issue and allowed me to run a lower pressure. I was having to run around 148 psi before the revalve to keep the fork from diving in corners and soak up the whoops, but it took away any suppleness it had in braking...

I had the same complaint about the shock. The fork had a really harsh feel right in the middle of the stroke as well. All of that was addressed and the bike feels balanced now.

Stayed Air for now. I weigh 215 without gear, B class desert rider. As stated before, I'm coming off of a well set up 16 YZ and have no complaints about this suspension after FC did their work.

I just purchased a 17 FX450 last week. The exhaust design is retarded and is super restrictive. I was planning on putting a slip-on on it, but it sounds like these bikes come mapped somewhat lean to begin with and I don't want to make it worse unless I can remap it. What I'm asking is, will it need a...

I just ordered a TPS tool to hopefully correct an issue I'm having with the bike. I was doing the break-in ride today and at around 0.7 on the hour meter, the bike would stumble occasionally at slower speeds and seemed to be exacerbated if I was lugging it or if I was in deep sand. If I opened the...

The FX and the FC are identical with the exception of suspension settings, 18" rear wheel, kickstand, larger tank and low fuel light. The FEs are plugged up in several different ways (to include a reed cage in the intake), smogged and detuned substantially.

Looks like it's the cheapest option at around $100. I don't plan on doing anything else to the engine outside an exhaust so that should be the hot ticket. I'll also be running 50/50 91 octane and VP 110.

My suggestion is to buy a JD Jetting kit and a set of VForce reeds. My TX300 ran like shit with stock jetting and with the suggested jetting for my atmospheric conditions. My reeds also had gaps. I installed a JD jetting kit and VF4 reeds. Bingo. Runs crisp, no flat spots anywhere in the RPM range. I'm running 50:1...

Did you notice a weight difference with the spring conversion? I am interested in it but have read a lot of mixed reviews.
