DRC makes a wrench, it's anodized aluminum and fairly cheesy, but gets the job done. I bought mine off a reseller on ebay, part number is listed on the bottom of the list. http://www.drcproducts.com/tool/sus/d59-37_ff/index.html

Yes, it is possible to replace the brass slot screws with hand clickers. Here is a post on a suspension group on FB where a guy did it and there's a few other pics in the comments of another guy also. The compression assembly cap has to be disassembled to do it.
