Solid insight from Eli after that race when asked how he was able to flip the switch. The first half of the moto was FAST. So fast that everyone used up all of their energy in a SX style sprint but there more race left than what they had for energy and they tanked. He maintained a pace that was slower than that 1st half sprint pace and do it through the end of the moto. So cool to watch him stay so strong.

I think this Tomac kid is going to make it in this sport after all.

8/18/2018 1:24pm Eli hasn't had the race pace yet. Let's see if he finds it.

Congrats to the son of a Dade City legend. Well done R.J. Damned few can claim both a US Nationals and a MXGP victory. Making all us old school FMC racers proud.

Also very easy on the eyes. At this point, seemingly almost as knowledgeable, quick learning curve. An equally alluring accent. Georgia was/is great. But yeah, Will has been a stellar replacement.

8/18/2018 12:45pm Forkner has a lot of maturing to do, and for his sake he better to it sooner rather than later. This sport doesn't hold on to "young talent" without sustained results for too long, hopefully he figures it out ASAP.

8/18/2018 11:58am If you would have told me that Georgia was leaving the broadcast team, and we'd have a newbie come in and do as good of a job, I would have called you crazy. All due credit to Will, she is doing a fantastic job and seems to have taken to the sport really quickly.

8/18/2018 11:49am Some really odd lap times from riders over those last 3-4 laps. A few 2.07's, big drop-offs from other guys...weird. Almost like some of them settled, some kept pushing? Not sure how to make sense of that.

8/18/2018 11:46am WOW Kenny. Sick-man focus in full effect, amazing closeout to that ride for him, really impressive.

When guys were blatantly going around obstacles such as jumps it was a bit too much. Honestly made the race look like a bit of a joke. This is supposed to be a professional series. I could be wrong but I don't recall seeing this in MXGP.

8/11/2018 12:56pm No, not at all! Has nothing to do with Marv, just the broadcast being pretty boring. As I said, fantastic ride by him, without question deserved the W.
