I'm in the same boat your are and roughly the same age, but I haven't had that big one yet that has forced me to question whether or not I want to ride anymore. Riding dirtbikes makes me feel young, even though I'm not and when the day comes that I can't ride on the MX track, I'll settle for...

When I think about all the hype around Jett Lawrence, it's because most people interested in SX/MX arn't stupid, they recognize special talent that comes around every so once in a while. Lackey, Hannah, Bailey, McGrath, RC, RV and Bubba and others had extreme speed that put them head and heels above the rest. Everyone that qualifies for a SX...

Jett and Hunter Lawrence already have had more success than 99.9999999% of the riders who swing a leg over a dirtbike. They're factory riders for Team Honda and as long as they stay healthy, they are going to make a shit ton of cash and win a lot of Championships. I'm sure they're terrified not appearing on Pulp
I think Hate! is a pretty strong word, but I call um as I see's um. RC gets in the booth and JS7 fans come on and start spouting how much better James is, anytime there's talk of RV, RC and all their achievements and almost like clockwork JS7 fans always come out and say he was the fastest ever...
I know with some, it's Taboo to mention James Stewart in any sort of negativity, but there are posts all over the place saying Chase Sexton was gifted the 2023 SX Championship and I don't see you getting all Butthurt about that and defending his accomplishments. One mention of anything bad about JS7 and his fans get Ass Rash.
In order to be the Man! you gotta beat the MAN! James Stewart never beat RC for a AMA Championship. Everyone knows Ricky Carmichael retired on top and would have kept on winning had he not retired. This thread is about Championships won by the wrong rider and JS perfect season in 2008 fits the bill. Sometimes the truth hurts...
2008 MX perfect season Championship by James Stewart, hardly any competition and everyone knows that Ricky Carmichael was on the retirement tour in 2007, but he was still the Dominant rider by a LOOOONG! shot. Had RC not retired, JS7's perfect season would have never happened and The Goat would have Dominated and won the 2008 MX championship as usual.
Just got back from Salt Lake City for the Supercross and I started thinking about that video that showed how stiff Eli runs his rear shock. Motocross riders use their legs a lot to absorb the forces of jumps and if his suspension is that stiff, I wonder if this could have contributed to his ruptured Achilles Tendon. I wonder...

BigRedMachine Added a reply to Champion Elect?

From the beginning of time, Nuthangers have bitched that their favorite rider didn't win and that the actual champion isn't really the real champion, because unexpected events happened. Chase Sexton earned this Championship and good for Honda winning every AMA title up for grabs. If Tomac ( Yamaha ) and Webb ( KTM ) fans can't handle it, try some...
I think at a time where a lot of people think the National Outdoor championship is going to be a snoozer now that Eli Tomac is out, any news that Jeffrey Herlings might race the first National would ad some spice and be welcome news. I hope it happens and it's good food for thought.

I hope someone on here has tried them, because as much as I like my Fastway Air Evolution pegs, I'm willing to make the change if it prevents one of these awful Achilles injuries. I might just say the Hell with it and give um a try. They get great reviews Fastway Air EXT Footpegs - Pegs Only | MotoSport

I'm so bummed for Eli Tomac and this has gotten me thinking, I'm a little concerned about this injury, but nobody I know has ever had this happen, even though it seems like it would be an injury we'd see a lot more of in riding Dirtbikes. I use Fastway evo pegs and love them, but they had another model...

BigRedMachine Started a new thread Should the 450 class be limited to 350's

This SX season and all the injuries got me thinking about what Ryan Hughes once said where he thinks the 450's are getting too fast and 350's should be the new premier class. "By 2025 all manufactures should be making 350's" Ryan Hughes explains his position on modern 450's - YouTube
