Help ID this KTM tank and seat?

I have had this tank & seat forever. I never had the bike so I don't have a clue what they belong to. A guy I used to work with gave them to me about 15 years ago and he didn't have the bike either. From my e-detective skills, I'm guessing they are early 80's. If there is any interest in them, I'm willing to part with them. If not....off to ebay!

The tank looks like the one I had on a 1984 KTM 495....the off-road model, not the MX model. Not sure on the seat. Try KTM Talk http://ktmtalk.com/index.php Someone on that site will know for sure

Looks like an '82 to me. Seat cover should be blue for '83-'84.

Yes you are right about that , I was only looking at the tank.
