If Stewart loses the championship by less than 5 points will it magnify his mistake to not focus on finishing that race and blocking Chad, giving away 5 points that race for a non racing incident? It will in essence be his own fault for not winning it all.

That said, I would love to see him take it in Vegas, with it being a winner takes it scenario with all 4 guys with 4 points as mentioned by Grieby54 last night

If the next race goes: 7, 5, 22, 2 - we'd REALLy have a winner takes all scenario in Vegas. That'd be sweet.

It'd be:
RV
Stewart - 2
Dungey - 3
Reed - 4

...or something like that.

This will be the championship to remember, for any of these guys that win it.

I don't know man, all this ghost and voodoo stuff...

But, yeah, even a half-point would count if they had them.

I was thinking that same thing this morning. For some reason I have a feeling that Vegas is going to end like Atlanta did.

And maybe Vegas will end like it did in 06 and 09 with the current leader letting someone else win and
playing it smart and winning with just what they need. Go RV2!Woohoo

I like the 09 scenario...

But I could also see 2 certain riders slowing down looking for an opportunity to park him, near the end of the race. Wink
Obviously in a sense it would be a very cheap/dirty move....
But when a title is on the line and their job is to win it,I couldn't blame them for trying (even if the situation was reversed).

With 2 or 3 guys gunning for you,it might be best to get out front and try your hardest to run away with the thing.

It's gonna be good. Smile

Ha! This is what my "Voodoo" is in reference to:

A Dingwall bass guitar with the Novax fanned fret system. A complete piece of art. The models they started out with were called Voodoo Zebra's... then just Voodoo's. It's not like I have voodoo dolls of any of the racers, like Reed... that I put a pin in the back of before Dallas, or anything as outrageous as that Wink

Damn! That axe is badass! I would love to get my grubby hands on one of these. I'm a old musician myself and I always played my trusty old fretless Fender Jazz bass (channeling my inner Jaco). What does one of these go for?

The 3 I've bought were back in '98, '01, and '06. The first one went for $1800, then $2400, and the last one $3200. If you've never played a fanned fret bass you're missing out. It a completely natural feel as far as hand positioning. I just sold my '74 Fender Jazz (regretted it immediately), so I can relate to the vibe of the old school basses. If you're into the traditional Jazz body style Dingwall has this piece of art:

It's their Geddy Lee 5 String. Bass porn is just like bike porn...

Ghost of Atlanta MY ASS! Look how many points he made up by accidently taking out the points leader two weeks in a row. If anything, he might regret not taking more people out!

jk, in all seriousness, EVERYONE in contention of this championship will have moments to look back on regretfully if they lose this title. All of them have made mistakes...

Whoever has the best chance to win the title at Vegas will have a target on their back and a throttle guided front tire headed their way. IMO

His crash at Daytona was a racing incident, though. James intentional blocking Reed for a half a lap after they came together, wasn't a racing incident, to me. It was a mental lapse to the point he was lost his focus on the race finishing the race, to salvage as many points as possible. I think that's what'll pop up in his head, if he does lose the tile by 4 points, thus the 'will it haunt him' question. Not Daytona or any of his other crashes... that's racing.

What are you arguing? And what does it have to do with topic of the post?

This is about what happened after the crash and before the finish line. I didn't think anyone was rehashing the crash again, were they?
