I noticed Tomac also had Subway stickers on his Leatt, is that a team sponsor or just personal deal?

I'm over RED BULL! Those guys and most of their riders are so stuck up, it's hard to root for anyone sponsors by the Bull Piss company.

Red Bull has been an integral part in boosting the level of so many forms of sports and activities in recent years. I think it's kinda ignorant to hold a grudge against a company that has done as much as they have to help promote the things we all love.

I was happy to see it! I used to work for them and tried hard to get them involved in the local moto scene. Matt Sheafor a local pro rider from Michigan had a little deal with them. They have awesome products!

Vitamin Water has sponsored a few of the guys from New England as well.
I know Pat Barton had a deal with them a few years back.

I love the stuff.

I think RedBull needs to be commended for keeping sports and events alive. I've been to backwoods downhill mountain bike events and even small local snocross events in the middle of nowhere Vermont that were being sponsored by RedBull.

They have done a ton for the entire (for lack of a better term) "action sports" community.

Any outside sponsor is good for the sport, but don't be too quick to call Vitaminwater a healthy hydration alternative. It's crap made by Coca-Cola and powered by deceptive marketing.

Yup and they were hooking up Dowd/Treadwell as well. I had a deal with them the last several years that kind of carried over from my bicycle sponsorship days and the stuff is rad!

What about smart water that is water with electrolytes, is that crap because it is under Coca-Cola as well? What is so bad about Vitamin Water in your opinion?

this lawsuit made some waves in the beverage industry last year. a consumer watchdog group sued Coca-Cola (vitamin water parent company) for deceptive marketing...

"In a staggering feat of twisted logic, lawyers for Coca-Cola are defending the lawsuit by asserting that "no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitaminwater was a healthy beverage."

Is Vitaminwater Good For You?

Vitaminwater Not Good For You

I hate to be negative about a new potential sponsor in the sport. I think it's great they are getting involved, but just like the energy drinks I wouldn't confuse Vitaminwater for, well, vitamins and water. From the article:

“It has this aura of healthfulness that is not deserved. Adding vitamins and minerals to junk food doesn’t make it healthy.”

for the record, i love Vitamin Water, but i switched to the "Zero" version after realizing how much sugar it has. I too, noticed k-Dub and Tomac sipping on it and i dont think that was an accident.

Perhaps Vitamin Water is "testing the waters" of SX and in talks with Geico/FC team for possible 2012 sponsorship? Ever since they cut ties with No Fear gear and No Fear Energy Drink, they are one of the few satellite teams with no drink or energy sponosr. If thats the case we should welcome them into the sport. People are free to choose what products they want to use/eat/drink, etc. So whether you like the product or not, we should be happy if they choose to spend $$ on the sport

It was good to see someone without a drink sponsor, showing what they really drink . But, not going to bash the energy drinks, they're really helping the sport & I love the Monster Girls.

It didn't used to be like that, they have continually raised the levels of sugar in Gatorade to the point it can slow down absorption. G2 is much better, and G2 cut 50/50 with water is even better.

The 27 grams of sugar in the 8oz red bull can isnt bad unless you take in a lot of sugar elsewhere in your diet thoughout the day.

All I got from that article is "it has bad sugar" and "you can't use all the vitamins they try to pack in it". I still wouldn't compare it to a soda soft drink.

It didn't use to be that way, yes that's because they were bought and like most drink companies do they cheapened it as in added more sugar!
