I won a Leatt awhile ago in 13 Days of Christmas but only just started wearing it because it did not work with my chest protector. I wear it with an under protector now. Great day of riding today, Mildly hot and a groomed and watered track. Did a lot of good laps and was just having fun mixing it up with friends until my bike seized on the take off of a probably 75 footer and I tried my first front flip by not letting go and landing on my head really hard. I did the normal crawl off the side and waited for the pain to leave thinking I am lucky because it just feels like a blown knee and broken ankle. Well the pain leaves after a while and ended up with no real injuries except a few bruises and soreness. My head hurts and my neck feels sore but not extremely bad. A flagger was right there to see it all and walked off the distance to where my head hit the ground and said it was 140 feet and my Leatt definitely saved me. Yes it was Florida feet. Probably half that but big enough to hurt you. It has been a long time since my last big one so hopefully that is out of the way. With the arguments on braces I was not totally sold on the Leatt but now i will not be with out it. Thanks GuyB.

Damn dude, glad to hear you are ok. I'm a believer in the Leatt also, luckily I haven't tested it like that though.
Were you at L Cross?

Hey thanks a lot. I still can not believe I am not worse off. Another guy was saying he had to shake my hand if I can walk away from that. lol Yes it was L-cross. It has been getting a lot better every week. It is really a fun place and close to home too.

Yea that was it. It sorta turns into a double with the huge whoop like kicker that forms on landing after everyone jumps 3/4 of the way over and over. It was no problem today with a good face but it could of happened anywhere but of course it happens when you are on the gas committed to the biggest jump on the track. I am really feeling it now. Good times.

Good to hear, check it for any damage. Not saying they break, but if you hit hard it needs to be checked too.

Glad to hear you are okay. L Cross has gotten MUCH better, but some of those faces have a weird tendency to throw your back end up
