There will be, just not at the initial launch. They are doing it through DLC (downloadable content). Hopefully they keep up with the dlc like they say.

Nice find btw, thanks for the post.

I have been disappointed with this game for so long.
No SX that is a blow. MX tracks get boring quickly so do quarries.
Motocross Madness 2 was insane. Really good online racing.. I think those days will never come again.

No SX what a joke. They have probably replaced it with a whole heap of mini games like chase the ball

The only thing that I really didn't like was the riders gesturing to each other.

I mean how many times do you see a rider take their hand of through a gnarly track section, completely turn their upper body around and shout "woo hoo hey hey!!!" to their competitors. Travis has probably done it at some point but other than him there isn't many.

Hopefully it isn't an automatic thing and you can just ignore it.

I played Alive at Dallas. Physics are close to the same as reflex, but a lot slower reacting. More realistic I suppose but hard to get used to.

seriously, when was the last time you played mm2? it has nothing on what there is today. go back and play it. then play alive.

there will be supercross. and it sounds like scale supercross tracks. which is pretty exciting to me.

hey rainbow,

ditch the shitty animations and fix the f*cking online for crying out loud.

i'll buy it but it will probably end up being fun for a couple months then turn into a beer coaster like the last 2.

No SX at LAUNCH.

So they want you to take the $20 you save and turn it into a few 1600MSP or $20 PSN cards.

they will probably pack one sx track on with 2-3 free-ride/freestyle courses so you will end up paying a lot more just to get the few sx tracks that they release.

on reflex they said there would be a ton of DLC. turned into 2 sx tracks and 2 national tracks, some shitty free-ride, and some gear. all said and done it was close to 20 dollars. we were ripped off, imo.

hoping they actually do what they say they're doing this time, but i guess we will see.

I heard they will be selling SX track packs for around the same amount most of you spend on your own personal gay porn mags .

I have played
every mx game that`s ever been made and Reflex tops them all BY FAR.....so why would Alive be any different ?do you think the guys at rainbow are going to put the type of effort and marketing into a game 'for us' that isgoing to be a pile of crap and not progress to the next level ?

some of you are wack jobs I tell ya...

like i said, i'll be buying it. i talk tough, but at the end of the day i play video games and especially moto games. i still play reflex online and get f*ckin pissed every time i play it. too many cheaters and the physics kill me sometimes.

hell yeah i'm going to be there, i'll come find you, i'm ready for a new game

I for one can't friggin wait to play this game. My poor xbox is slowly dying on me but you better believe I'll have a new one by the release of Alive. How the fuck can you hate on a game that isn't even out yet. And don't me wrong, Reflex had its issues but It's still currently the BEST mx game out. Yall TRIPPING!!

looks good. seems sluggish compared to reflex.... but like sfdog1 said, that may be a bit more realistic.

i just wish EA sports would come out with a new motocross game already...the nascar and motoGP games are so accurate its scary. dont see why MX couldnt be the same way

THQ makes a helluva game but its just a little cartoonish imo

For all the xbox gamers, heres a way to get legit free points.

www.bing.com/Rewards

download the bing bar and youll get 250 points for free. Then you can get points for searches, depending on how long youve had the bar and the date makes it varry.

Like right now i have 1 point for every 2 searches up to 16 points, then every other day i can get two click here links worth 12 points each.

So thats 56 points every two days, which adds up fast.

It used to be 400 bing points = 400 microsoft points but not its 500 bing points = 400 MSP.

Ive gotten over 3000 points this way, have been doing it for probably 6+ months

Elliot,

can I ask you something, and to be honest I dont expect a response, but one would be nice. Why dont you guys just get the real tracks, as far as motocross?? I understand it's going to cost money, so is getting manufacturer's..you would probably pay less to get all the national tracks than the royalties or whatever agreeement you reached with Suzuki, possibly other manufacturers.

To be honest I've been a hater on your games as of late, you've read some of my comments on here. Alive looks okay, better than videos I saw the other day, seeing the videos above makes me kinda glad to see a new game coming out. I know you mean well, but some of the things that dont make it into these games and some things that do are kinda flipped. Also, I dont understand why there is a DIRTY girl contest, Im guessing you guys are paying some kind of money to them, couldnt that be going towards getting real nationals?? Thats not really necessary, and a few other things that you guys do.

after watching the videos, here is something i noticed.

the bikes actually have power, the bikes in reflex were turds. mess up one jump and you could never get back up to speed, hence you couldn't clear any of the jumps or rhythms.

looking forward to online.

but my dog isn't. i tried to do one of the online tournaments and my dog ended up getting the shit kicked out of him.

As they've discussed in many interviews lately and in the past, making real replica national tracks that are actually fun to play is a challenge...but they're getting closer. While all us core moto fans think it would be absolutely epic to rip around Red Bud and the like, the scale of the real tracks doesn't make for good "virtual" racing and entertainment. With that said they have mentioned that this iteration of the series is the closest one yet to real 1:1 scale, so it may be something we could potentially see in the future.

When it comes to our requests and desires to have real tracks and such, you guys have to remember that probably 90% or more of their market could care less if the tracks are real. In our eyes, holding it pinned up the face of a 120 ft "virtual Larocco's Leap" would be awesome, in the average customers eyes that jump better be 300+ ft.

thats bs...if you fell for that you're probably still waiting for santa to bring your presents for christmas.

I've played the ones for Unleashed for pc, anyhting remotely close would be fine. Scale doesnt need to be 1:1 to be good

What the F is BS about the fact that we are the small minority in their sales numbers? You really think they shipped 10 million units to die-hard moto fans?

No, but they shouldnt use a BS excuse for why they dont use the real nationals...

oh and BTW, I think the MAJORITY of sales are by motocross related consumer's..think about it its 10 million over 6 games, thats if its just the motocross games and not the ATV offroad fury games combined in that total. Fact is, we are the majority of the one's that buy the games. Someone that has some idea of what moto is...probably only 10% of the people that buy mx games buy it for the heck of it. and have never seen any type of mx event(whether in person or on tv).

They can make real replica tracks they are willing to pay the money. It is the year 2011, they have the technology to make the tracks spot on to the real thing. They are not making them because it is too much of a challenge to make them fun to play! The one real track in the game is Stewart's and I heard James say in an interview how the track was dead on to the real thing. I am also willing to bet it will be the best track in the game. Maybe a ten year old will like the snow track better, but a hardcore motocross fan wants to be able to ride the same tracks we watch on TV or attend live.

I think the latest videos look better than any of the others I have seen (except for the ridiculous hand gestures) and I will definitely be buying the game. To make the game way better, it needs to have replica National outdoor tracks. Maybe these will eventually be in a DLC, but I doubt it. What we need is another company to make a mx game to give THQ some competition. I thought Black Bean was coming out with that MX GP game but I have not heard anything more on this since the fall.

I'm confused, are you quoting me in your first couple of sentences?

I know they have the ability to make "real tracks", never said they didn't.

I agree with you that the Stewart compound will potentially be the coolest aspect of the game, but it looks like certain aspects of it are more like 1.1 to 1.2:1 scale.

If they could scale up the nationals like that I think it would be absolutely awesome, don't get me wrong.

What kinda gets me going is the stupid gestures the riders make...pretty stupid! I hope they're not coded such that they can't make that something we can turn off in a future update.
