Dave, you must be a scrappy mofo. Just wondering because of the way you post here. Not that I don't agree with you on this topic, but I know you are a big proponent of posting as if you were face to face.

If you do in fact speak to people in the same manner as your posts here, I’m certain you have had to duck a few haymakers in your time…If not, you may want to look in the mirror for that pussy you like to label people so often…

This is all just crazy. Im kinda confused as to why they keep referring to his wealth and his property in the news articles.

Nascar guys have done worse (dui). What are the odds of having a little fun and out of thousands of vehicles the one is full of police? I feel for James. Shit luck. Again.

It will be interesting to see if this story makes the AP wire.

No doubt it was stupid, really stupid.
However, you are out to lunch. What they did is akin to throwing snowballs at cars as they go by and pegging off a off-duty police car in the windshield. Stupid lame-ass kids stuff.

By the time the lawyers are done with this, it should amount to nothing, considering you can kill someone in this country and barely have to do any time for it.

How about front page of MSN earlier today... "Memo to jocks posing as Cops: Don't pull over Cops" with a link to Fox Sports.

Guys, I haven't read every page of this so forgive me if this was already covered. But how does a guy post bail at 2:50am? In Oklahoma a judge has to be present to hear your case and set bail before such bail could even be posted. This is true for even relatively minor offenses (public drunk, etc.).

Never arrested myself, but plenty of my GI friends have had pretty bad experiences in the drunk tank. Arrested on Friday night means entire weekend in the tank cause a judge won't be there till Monday morning at 9am. And you hope it's not a holiday!

Is anyone even sure charges were filed? If so, which one(s)? The news reports are way to vague for me.

I suppose you missed where GuyB agreed with me, you going to call GuyB a "dumb fuck" or are you going to puss out?

We've had more than a small number of people make shit up and pass it off as "rumor" only to be proven bullshit later.

Whether it was Stewart, Reed, RV, RD or anyone else being arrested, seems unlikely and it's not unreasonable to think it's bullshit based on past "rumors" that have been posted.

but again, I apologized
If that isn't good enough for you, for someone to man up and admit they're wrong, too bad.

I did the right thing, and that is all that counts
Whatd'ya want , a medal or a chest to pin it on.

Problem is, 90% of the time, people don't actually read what I say, they read INTO what I say, dismiss parts entirely or just make up their own version of what they think I said.
Yep.

I guess it's a good thing they don't hold NASCAR races outside of the US. They can still race that way.

Okay, watched it. The policewoman interviewed said "arrested for impersonating an officer" etc. The police don't levy charges though, that's for the local prosecutor/DA. Anyone know if charges were actually filed? Anyone know if bail was set/paid?

The arrest carries a felony charge, so if it gets dropped down (probably will per plead) they will still probably make an example of him somehow.

Um, apparently you are the one out to lunch on this one. Not even close to the same thing. Throwing snowballs and impersonating a police officer during a traffic stop??? Cmon dude!
I just spoke to one of my buddies who is a huge JS7 fan and is also a police officer in Atlanta. He said it is required by all the police agencies that he knows of for officers to carry weapons and their badges at all times. They do not tolerate "Impersonating a police officer" lightly because of all the robberies, rapes and murders that happen. He said he was very lucky that he wasn't shot or roughed up at all.
We all may know who JS7 is, doesn't mean the world does!

According to the booking info the bail was set at $1000 and James was bonded out at 2:50 AM this morning. Like you said how the charges progress from here likely is up to the prosecuter.
