Question: If & when Chase Sexton lines up in 8-weeks at A1, to begin the 2027 SMX series...will he be ready to be "Chase Sexton" (arguably the FMOTP when all is right)...or will it show that he's suddenly a "top-5" guy?
I'm not slamming Chase...but is there a possibility that the Lawrence brothers, Deegan, Prado, and possibly even Webb have had time to sharpen their game since he stepped away because of injury...and now being on a new bike/team...that he's not consistently on their level any more?
I'd personally hate to see that happen. No matter what your opinion of Chase Sexton is, I sincerely hope for the best scenario...that Chase will rise to the occasion and hit the podium if not win the overall to show he's still got what it takes.
Oops. Typo. Meant SMX not WSX.
Corrected. 😐
If he's top 5 at A1, that bodes well for the rest of the season. If he podiums, it could be a great season for him in the end.
He's going to have to come in rusty compared to a lot of his top competition, but if he is already up to that sort of speed then he will only get stronger as the season goes on. I don't think that he's afraid to put in the work, that's for sure.

For Supercross, he won’t be ready, but my guess is that he’ll probably line up anyway
Not telling the moto internet what bike your going to ride next season really gets people talking about you...
We've seen Jett do the freakish things, like come back and be 97%+ after his ACL. I don't think Chase will be "that" sharp at A1. But he'll be good and likely just take what his body and bike gives him. A top 5 would be excellent and then build from there.
