I heard a rumor that Kyle wasn't hurt, that he was let go by the team. Anyone else hear this?

Matthes and (i think) Ping were speculating it the other day on the PulpMX podcast. However, Regal does pictures with a cast on his wrist on his twitter page.

ok thanks guys....I looked at his tweets on the 3rd at 3:13 pm he was talking about getting on the longest flight of his life....the race is on the 5th. So why would he be flying to the race on thurs night with a broken wrist?

Kyle Regal – Wrist
Comment: Injured his wrist while practicing in Florida the week prior to the Daytona Supercross. A medical evaluation revealed broken bones in his wrist, including the scaphoid bone, and it is expected that he’ll be out the remainder of the supercross season.

He was going to get his stuff from Brooks' house in Cali because he was at Stewarts when he got hurt. Look for an updated status on the injury after finally getting the MRI results back.

I like Regal, but my opinion is that hes not a good fit for that team anyway. He needs to be on the Troy Lee Honda team on a 450 for outdoors. just my 2 cents..

talked to him today and he is still awaiting a timeline. too bad about not being able to ride daytona as it would have been the best forum for him to date I believed and was looking forward to having him his best oa yet this year. the black cloud following him is getting lighters!!

IMO Kyle Regal would be a perfect fit for TEAM HONDA. He seems old school, like a Jeff Stanton or something.

A rider has to go where he's getting a pay check, but IMHO, things were clicking off well for Kyle at Merge. It's going to be hard to find a bike that's better than his Merge Honda.

I bet his L + M bike is pretty good. Jus sayin. It's supercross that isn't the best fit for him not the bike. But he's gotta get comfortable with SX at some point if he wants to go far in this sport.

You mean the rumor that Matthes on his show? It was something to the effect of "Since Regal tweeted something about James without James' permission Regal was let go."

It's just a rumor until someone can come up with an x-ray. I feel bad for Regal getting stuck in the middle of the LB/Stewart deal. Can you imagine being a kid moved away from your family, living with LB while that disagreement with Stewart is going on? Talk about awkward. That poor kid has been involved in way too much drama.

WTF. Regal said that he`s living with James since LB left. If I was Stewart I would not talk to that fat ass ever again.

The Yamaha's are different, and some people have a hard time gelling with the bike. I think Kyle is one of those people.

Supercross is extremely mental, and being in the right frame of mind is very important. Being in the middle of someones pissing match isn't a good deal.

Any good team manager tries to keep his riders in a level smooth frame of mind. I don't think this mess has been good for James or Kyle.

I think it's supercross, not the Yamaha. Don't forget Regal rode 450 Yami's a few years back with Valli and beat all the factory guys.

Could def see that. Someone brought up him on Valli's bikes and doing well but I seem to remember him having problems there. Not sure if it was the bikes or the program though

a little out of context guys......

in the podcast with Matthes,Ping, and Weege, it started off as them laughing about the rumor circulating in the industry peeps that Kyle wasnt hurt. The inflection in everyones voice was tongue in cheek and was more of the air of, can you believe they would think that. It was not the hot unspoken source, it was a wow this is being said deal. Then as benchracers, they speculated about it, but even that wasnt in the sense it was true, just more of a what if deal and the whole thing was obviously, if you listened, tongue in cheek/wow/wtfever. Where alot of this is coming from was the fact Kyle tweeted he was on his way to Daytona and looking forward to riding. Which led to the speculation on the above parties in a what if scenario.
