I would love to find a OEM pipe for this if anyone knows of one I could purchase or do a trade with..
Pipe

Restored 125 pipe would like to find a good candidate to do this with a oem

250 pipe
I did the air pressure and heat also used a dent puller
And then had a friend do the lazer paint removel
Ok so welding and some grinding done now going to try (never used before) JB extreme heat metallic paste and sand it out smooth then to powder coat.
Pit Row
My thoughts are to use this because of the oven heat during powder coat....
As a "body filler" I do have some experience doing body work for a friend on the side.
Not sure if this would be the right thing to do, any thoughts???
I am open to any input about the proper way to do any thing during this project.
I have an 86 oem header if it will fit id be willing to trade for your PC
How well did the laser stripping work on the pipe? Did it remove all the paint and rust? What type of surface finish did it produce? Thanks!
Great build!! Keep it coming man, I have one of these myself that I have stalled working on. Hopefully this gives me some motivation!
The pictures of the 125 pipe are listed but I do not have a 1987 250 stock pipe yet
Frame is at the powder coat shop now.
I would recommend doing the laser paint removal if you want a smooth raw pipe. I t leave a texture and you would have to had sand every bit of it.
I would strip it if painted or soak it in vinegar if rusty unless the rust is starting to pit the metal (which was the case for my 125 pipe) then the laser removal works great.
