Does anyone else wish Tomac had just stayed home after Ironman? Hate seeing him running around behind Harrison and the like.

Eli is a great mud rider. He should have been there for a podium but looks like he is not even trying. His starts were so bad you could tell he didn't try to get a good start one bit. Why risk injury if you are not even going to try and race?

I have no idea how much his heart is into it, and if it's not, there's nothing he can do about that. If the fire is gone and has been replaced by self preservation, there's no shame in that and it is what it is.

There is shame in quitting and I think that's why he's out there. He knows it's time but is going to try to honor his commitment and race if he is able, not get "banged up" and disappear which he could easily do. I'm sure it's far more painful for him to ride around back there than it is for us to watch and I respect it if he's willing to put up with that to finish the season in a way that he feels is honorable.
