my 2021 fc350 has always started perfectly don’t ever need cold start . On the weekend i left it warm up while i was having a chat to someone . I turned it off while i chucked riding gear on and it wouldn’t start for the life of it . Cranked no worries just wouldn’t fire even with a jumper pack . Tried again an hour or so later with the jumper pack as the battery was drained she fired straight up and did a 30 minute moto . Went to start after half hour rest same issue , no attempt to fire . Drove an hour home after a few beers and rolled it out of the trailer and she fired straight up . Seems it only won’t start when the engine is warm , dead cold motor and it fires as usual but warm it just cranks and sounds heavy , fuel pump seems ok , inline filter clean , any ideas ???!!! This is starting to give me the shits , plug behind number plate is ok and stop button seems good
What are your current valve clearances?
tbh with these new ktm based engines unless they become hard to start i don’t bother , if clearances are out cold start is usually the issue . To answer your question i checked them when i installed a big bore kit about 80 hrs ago
Quite the opposite. You're having hot start issues, which would generally point to tight valve clearances.
How old is battery? Hrs? Last top end?

Battery was 5 years old , chucked a new one in still got same issue . Top end has maybe 80hrs on it , i ride low in the rev range.
Possibly but after the initial not firing into life it’s gotten progressively worse , originally it did a 30 minute moto now it’ll idle for say 5 minutes then the engine will stall by itself . I’ve had this bike for 5 years and it’s never missed a beat , it’s getting frustrating
Need to ck fuel pressure the pimp gets weaker om every start when going out
If you haven’t already switched the in tank fuel filter to a metal one, that can’t hurt your situation. The plastic one cracks at the weld joints and affects bikes differently. My 300 was most affected at startup and my 350 would just start bogging at various times during my ride. The NAPA part number is 3095.
Bike shop mentioned they’ve seen a few failed fuel pumps recently
So I sent it to the bike shop in frustration, they’ve since come back with a failed stator . So $500 later and she should be good to go !!
