I would never even consider that even if it was pouring rain and hailing bricks.

You need to learn the tricks on how to get into the pits and down on the floor if sitting in the seats isn't your bag. Wink

My son isn't here this year so it just doesn't have the same feel....we went to six supercross events and two nationals a coupe of years ago and had blast....I'll probably stay. Was here in 97 for Ricky's first win and in 07 for Dungey's and it would be nice to say I was there if Malcolm can pull out a win.

Is there a reason you are there 5 hours before the show starts?

Yea. Some old high school friends from Virginia came down and I met them at the CNN Center for lunch....

Is Danny Nienaber one of your friends from VA? A few of my riding buddies are down in GA for the race right now.

Glad I stayed....I was really dreading that inevitable traffic. I should have taken MARTA. It took me 3 hours to go from the parking lot to my home less than 30 miles away. Well over an hour just to get out of the parking lot, but it was well worth it.

That was without question the second greatest Atlanta race I've ever seen. Thought the pass attempt on Reed's part was dirty as fuck, but that's racing.

That was funny as fuck. I was laughing when I read it from my phone in the traffic!!

Don't feel bad. I have been to so many of them that I usually go during the day and then head home and watch the race on TV. That's what I did today.

Brother, I work at Tinker AFB, and it takes me 30 to 45 minutes to get from the parking lot to the gate (less than a mile) every freekin' day. I wouldn't complain about 3 hours to get out of a major sporting event. I got turned around at the St. Louis SX a few years ago because of all the road construction...wound up in East St. Louis...that place makes Compton look like the Hamptons...lol, making memories.

That was my first year going. 1997, it was awesome.
