I think what some North Americans might be missing in the appeal of WSX is that it's a unique opportunity for lots of fans around the world to see some of the best riders.
It might not be the very top level but the attraction is that these guys don't travel much. In this respect Canada is definitely not the most exotic location but over in Latin America, Europe, South Africa (or bike crazy countries like Indonesia!) it's a huge appeal to be able to watch a few top10-top15 AMA riders. Sure it's not "the real thing" but the real thing doesn't race outside the US.
Paris Supercross was more or less the only event to enable that for some time.
Have they ever announced a winner of the SX1 class? Their results page only shows 2 heats…..
the annouced on the broadcast that the last race did not get points, and its been explained that you need to complete 75% of the laps to be counted for points, and they only got to 7/12,

Nice. I am out in the Bragg Creek area. Not saying I wouldn't have had a good time, just stating the reasons I decided not to go. To be fair the drive also was a big reason. I have to make that drive every day during the week, and do everything I can to not go to the city during the weekend. lol.
You guys getting any rain yet? Everything is so dry down here right now. Hopefully the rain this week improves some of the riding conditions
I agree about the opportunity for fans to see AMA racers in other countries, I just don't like how they act and promote like they are the best because they have the FIM "World Championship". You can tell that they have told their broadcast team to push the "World Championship" which is comical because they have maybe one top 5 rider (Webb) and one top 10 rider (possibly Anderson) from the US SX series the rest are typical not top 10 in AMA....so to continuously call them the worlds best on the broadcast and on their horrible social media. They need to stop trying to compete with the AMA series and just realize that they are only relevant because of the AMA series....
