Farres is crushing it right now. It would be really cool to see him give it another shot over here.

I heard he was going to Kawi which doesn’t make any sense why triumph wouldn’t do everything to keep him.

According to gatedrop.com, Triumph has made him a better offer and he’s probably going to stay with them.

French publication said he signed a letter of intent with Kawasaki. Tested the Kawasaki and Yamaha.

Lewis says he's staying with Triumph.

Idk I think one championship with 1 guy on a suzuki doesnt sell a lot of bikes, but making a good bike and winning a lot sure worked out for ktm… and now yamaha. Those are the 2 most popular bikes now. Its not the only thing but I think sustained success throughout multiple classes and championships sells bikes.

If KTM didn’t buy/make Huskys and GasGas bike, along with whatever mtn bike company maybe they wouldn’t have went broke?

ID SAY it was moto gp the bicycles and way to many models that caused there troubles.. not to mention having to depend on sales to stay alive ..all the other companies dont have that problem cuz they produce a lot more than motorcycles

That’s sick. That’s the only thing that makes since if he doesn’t go to the states.

Two things can be true at once. Ktm made great bikes that were constantly pushing the edge and advancing the sport, offered riders a top bike in basically every class they could imagine from childhood to adulthood creating brand loyalty, won a shit ton of championships, and in turn basically every single bike you saw at the tracks or off road races was a ktm or yamaha.

(Yamaha also had a bike for everybody including 2 strokes and even had the pw which ktm doesnt have, and they basically copied ktm’s own approach of incremental compounding improvement year after year instead of the throw it all away and start over approach every 4 years of a kawi or honda… and it worked). Ironically ktm decided to try out the throw it all away and start over approach in 2023 and thats when their reputation took a massive hit which was the worst possible timing because the next year theyd file for bankruptcy.

Ktm bought up a bunch of different brands and then sold the exact same bike under multiple tents, had a million different race teams, and wayyyy over produced during the covid boom and got caught with their pants down.

The first major decision by KTM I questioned was building a gazillion-dollar facility in California, a state hell-bent on making its product illegal.
