Whoa there pardner!  I can take an insult or two, but nothing like that bullshiite.

I haven't tasted a SugarBee in a loooong time.  They definitely didn't replace my favorite, the Cosmic Crisp.

I philosophically can't stand the idea of buying a SugarBee apple because the company that does most of the marketing of the apple is garbage.  They've ruined so many markets for small farmers in the state that it surprises me they (the family members, anyway) haven't been found strung from a tree.  The apple markets have been impacted by them heavily, but they have destroyed the later cherry markets for anyone and everyone.

They are the closest thing to the Beck Brothers (except there's a lot more of them!) you could get in the fruit business.....!

(Sorry for the Yellowstone reference)

Nah,

But I do get annoyed when people post polls with options designed around getting people to pick a choice that has nothing to do with what most people think.

I hate people who think that I care what they think. I hate people who think that their ass don’t stink. I hate you, but you hate yourself too. Hate to be honest but it sucks to be you.

Cosmic Crisp is my goto now. Honeycrisp is good too but 3.50/lb. Extra buck for the extra sugar that I don't want.

Finding the right combination of taste and texture is pretty difficult with apples, especially since you really need to be able to store them year round and have them be consistent.

The Cosmic Crisp (WA 38) is a cross between a Honeycrisp and an Enterprise (not a very big commercial apple).  The new cross that WSU is releasing for planting now is the WA 64, and it will be sold as 'Sunflare'.  Not quite an impressive name, at least I don't think so.  It is a cross between a Honeycrisp and a Cripps Pink/Pink Lady, and it has a bit of a tart kick to it that really tastes good with a similar texture to the Cosmic Crisp and it should store really well too.  The bud wood was just released last year so the first crop should be in the early fall of 2028.  It's going to do really, really well I think.  I was fortunate enough to taste it a few years ago while it was being evaluated and between the Cosmic Crisp and the Sunflare, I don't think I'll need another apple other than those.

Oh cmon, this thread is a genuine “Motodrive” comedy thread. The poll choices make it clear it’s comedy.

Although, the Survivor Island thread where we voted EIDave off the island is a classic.

…………and I like Kevin. At times we don’t mesh on here, but I bet we could fuck around for a week in real life.

lol It was meant more as satire. The amount of polls, pie charts, and graphs that he uses are hysterical and no one truly takes them seriously.
