Don't wear a hallowed out pumpkin as a helmet. Just because it worked for Charlie Brown, doesn't mean it'll work for you...........there isn't enough ventilation anyways.

in all seriousness....

If you fall down and you don't have a bone sticking out......get your bike up..and get your ass off the track before you try to start it.

Sitting in the middle of the track, especially in a blind spot, and trying to start your bike in slow motion when you are now a mile behind the leaders is about as stupid a thing that can be done on a motorcycle.

You are most likely to get hit and turn your bad day into something worse, and ruin somebody else's day as well.

and pay attention to the safety flags just like you would hope everybody else would do if it was your ass laying in the track.
X2...I landed on some clown last year who was trying to start his bike at the bottom of a blind landing. Ended a great day early.

So do you ride a bike with no decals or graphics?oem decals? Riders want to make their bikes look nice, whats the harm and it puts money back into the industry! The stock look is kinda boring IMO. I use decals and graphics on my bike because i support my local dealer and graphic companies. The more you buy and you will get a discount. Yea the bikes are good enough stock, whats the difference if you spend money on your bike ot blow it gambling?

If for some reason the local news station or newspaper comes to the racetrack and they interview you, don't say "I'm going to show everyone that I'm a force to be reckoned with", or however the saying goes.

Fastest in the pits = fastest on the track!
T people up in corners during practice... especially if they are slower riders

Same thing applies for stickers from any company that isn't sponsoring you, for that matter. (edit: mstock beat me to it)

And if you aren't going riding, or coming home from riding...take your bike out of the back of your truck.
What if Monster does not sponsor you but paid for you to go to the Vegas SX and Mini moto gave you a $1000.00 spending cash, to and from air port in a limo, fed and paid for quite a bit of other stuff can I run their decals then, and not look like a goon.

Wanted to delete this because it has nothing to do with the post I accidently quoted, but oh well.
Don't be a pit racer.
If you have a 5 y/o kid that falls over in a super rutted corner and can't get his bike picked up and started, help him out instead of trying to prove a point by making him try to do it himself. That 20 minutes could actually be used towards getting some ride time in and the only thing that kid is learning is that his dad is a dick (I saw that last Sunday. Not only did that dad not help, but he yelled at someone else when they did try to help the kid up) Maybe I could understand on flat ground, but not when it's really rutted and the kid can barely touch the ground as it is.
On that same note. Don't put that same kid on the main track when there's a seperate beginner track and then tell your wife, "These other guys are racers... they know to watch out for him." .... Disgusting parenting.

There is a difference between putting a graphic kit (as long as its not a race team replica complete with all the team sponsors) on your shrouds...and plastering your bike with stickers from companies that don't sponsor you.

Graphics kits are okay (though IMO they are a waste of money), stickers all over you bike is just plain goon.

Why are people so eager to advertise for companies that don't give them anything?

And for that matter, stickers on trucks and trailers (monster, fox, honda/yamaha etc) are equally gay....

My buddy gets a good deal on some monster products and saves some money so he uses some decals, hats etc! His is a team kit, looks good and he does nt get paid, but it makes him happy and he spent his own money, i don t judge him, he did nt ask me for the money! The whole mx scene is a money pit, but its fun as hell! would nt change it for the world. So make sure you take off all stickers when you get a new bike, including oem decals because i doubt they are paying you!
