I'm of two minds about it, so it is what it is imo, but "mind your business" kinda works both ways doesn't it? Shouldn't "mind your business" technically include not smacking people for exercising their rights in a way that makes us unhappy?
And don't get me started on desecrating the flag. There is only one fifty state stars and stripes and there's no writing on it, no images, no monochrome, no thin red/blue line, no rainbows, no ar15's, nothing of that shit.
Don’t forget using it as a shirt, cape, or any other bullshit adornment.
If you’ve never risked coming home under that flag, or sent friends home under it, you’ll never be able to comprehend our feelings about it.

Too many people have gotten too comfortable acting like an asshole and not getting punched in the mouth for it. You know, kinda like what Tyson said.
I dunno, I see lots of military folks with abnormal/modified flags because the one true version is no longer satisfying. Monochrome flags are pretty standard these days in law enforcement all across the country. It's now very common for people to display bastardized versions of the US flag, I'd say maybe 60-80% of the flags that I see from individuals are desecrations. I do thank these people in a way for educating others on what not to do. Their disloyal and disrespectful treatment of the flag has made it even more precious to me.

My dad has been at a local High School hockey game and one of the coaches drank coffee rather than stand correctly for the anthem. My dad went to his place of business the next day and explained how disappointed he was in him. Now that I am the high school hockey coach I warn my kids to stand correctly, the anthem means lots to most people.
I’m going to let you in on a secret, some veterans are shit bags. They were a shitbag when they served also.
