My young (20) and pretty much dumb friend has been eyeing these oil/gas platforms they build all over this area. Usually, they are square with steep slope so you could do a nice transition jump over the corner. Atleast that's been the thought.

He finally gets his shot...hits it small and rolls the corner (note, I wasn't there, this is his story)...moves his line back from the corner about 5 feet...small air...smooth...back's it up about 30'...hit's it mid third. Said he was about 15' in the air and headed for a flat landing. He ditched the bike (CR125). It landed about 15' past the transition and he landed just barely on the transition.

He walked away with just a little road rash. The bike had a little more damage, but not bad all things considered.

I guess it's "stupid is as stupid does"???

That kid was throwing lookback keg stands prior to that jump. Cut him some slack!
