Now that we have had time to see them both battle on 450's....

How would have RV done against JS in his 125 days on his PC 250f.

or

To make it more fair (although I think James still would have one) JS on his 125 with RV on a 250f from that era.

James ruled on the 125.

RC Ruled on everything but James would have beet him on 125's.

Just one man's opinion, but it seems to me that Stewart made a 125 go as fast as one could ever go. His bike would look a year old after one moto. I freakin loved watching him ride then. I mean I still do, but he rode so much more aggressively on that little 125

Carmichael was the FASTEST guy ever on a 125. You can keep saying that it was stewart but you're just lying to yourself.

RV has already proven to be a great racer , and I'm pretty sure he is going to have an awesome career.

But comparing him to people like James , RC , Everts , MC , ect ..... is a little premature.

I am a huge RC fan but I dont remember RC putting up better lap times than the fastest 250 rider, were bubba did it several times and one yr at las vegas was jumping a quad that RC wasnt even doing on his big bike.

When RV goes 24-0 outside, THEN he will be in the same class as RC or JS

If he only had to race the competition from '08, I could see it.

This guy is a bigger Stewart hater than he/she is a fan of the sport. Lame.

yes rc did a time or 2. im not really a stewart fan but i can tell you this anybody that got to see him ride a 125 will tell you it was one of the greatest spectacle they have ever witnessed in moto. like him or not he was a freak of nature on that thing. i never have seen that kind of domination before or since, it absolutely looked like he was racing the c class.

It tells me that the season that James didn't win the 125 National Outdoor title he got hurt during the Supercross series, missed several Nationals, and then came back and won every race for the remainder of the season (I believe).

RV is a great racer, but James in the 125 class was the shit. There is no way around that.

Also, please if you know of a national where RC set lap times faster than the 250 class let us know, because I have no idea what race that would be. RC was good in the 125 class, but he didn't get to the level he was at during the later years of his career until he hit the 250/450 class. That's just MHO.

I dont know....

Bob "Hurricane" Hannah, Broc "The Golden Boy" Glover, Mark "The Bomber" Barnett, Johnny "O'Show" O'Mara, Ron "The Machine" Lechien, Doug Henry, Steve "Lammy" Lamson, Ricky "RC" Carmichael, James "Bubba" Stewart, Ryan "RV" Villopoto..... all else being equal (modern day bike, all saw the sport progress, fitness, technology, diet)..... throw the names in a hat and pick one. All were bad asses on the tiddler bike.

Had sushi in China Town Las Vegas in 2003 where I bumped into Tony Berluti. He was awesome... invited me to the Suzuki pits. Anyways.... I am a huge RC fan and were talking about Reed's amazing 250cc SX rookie year (although he wasnt champ, you can easily compare his SX rookie year to MC's and RD's rookie year). He stated the big topic in 2003 was comparing fast lap times. When did we ever talk about the "one" fastest lap time in 1996, 1995, 1997, or 1998? When Tallon Volhand passed RC, we gave Volhand props for passing RC not the fastest lap time. I will never forget the 1997 GH MX when RC was railing a huge bowl turn to clear a giant double.

Easily can say that Lamson was by far the fastest 125 racer when he beat everyone (including big bores) at the MXDN.
