Just a question, but dont you have to complete a season in the class you are competing before you get given the badge?

I couldn't agree more. Stewart couldn't even beat him straight up in Phoenix. HA

Ya, I don't get that statement either by Stewart fans, just wishful thinking in my mind. To me it's dead even. We've had 3 races so far in the series. Stewart had 1 bad start with a come through the pack performance, 1 hole shot win (with a washout by RV), and a wash out 2nd place finish. RV has had a 1 hole shot win, a wash out 2nd place finish, and a bad start come through the pack win (with a wash out by Stewart). How ironic......

Through 3 races, RV's avg lap time is 54.374 seconds, fastest lap time avg 53.154.

Through 3 races, JS7's avg lap time is 54.45 seconds, fastest lap time avg 52.947.

That's a 0.076 second difference in avg lap times over 60 laps in main events. That's 0.207 seconds difference in fastest laps (but RV has had 2 of the fastest laps with JS having just one really fast lap). At some point in the season, a rider is what a rider is. and these riders are the fastest guys out there - and they are dead even.

Anybody who thinks one is faster than the other at this point is just trying to claim their jimmy is biggest than someone else's.

Someone remind me, why is this such a bad thing?

Logic has no reasoning in these posts.

In all seriousness though they are pretty even. I think James is clearly frustrated because his whole career he has been able to use his freak speed to get ahead early on and win, except over another red head and the frustration I saw the last few races are the same I saw before when he raced against RC. I like James but I think he has 2 guys that can run his pace.

Give RV and JS some Dunlops that won't slide out in corners and let them go at it. Every time I think "this is it!", one of them goes down. Patiently waiting for the next round.

Three races in and there is a new sheriff? How many big bike championships does RV have? And how many does JS have? Also what about Reed and Dungey?

When RV wins a CHAMPIONSHIP then you might want to talk about a new Sheriff.

He is fast and has won two of the three but the season isn't even a quarter of the way through. The nutsucking that was going on last year for Dungey has already been surpassed by the 2 win RV nutsucking this year!

Yes Racer 92, James is faster. He went down and was about 7 seconds down on RV and finished about 2 seconds behind AFTER repassing TC and RD for a 2nd time. I guess you must have missed that part. As for lap times in a main event, will having ONE fastest lap out of TWENTY win a race for you every time out? No, James had the fastest laps everywhere in A1. Where did that land Stewart?

do you hear yourself talk. RV had the fastest lap times in 2 out of 3 races. have you ever though maybe the guy in front takes it easier after he has a decent lead over the rest. JS caught up after that cause he is going all out and RV at that point was riding calm.

Lol at your post. Not only was it not obvious that RV was still hamering it, but the guys in the booth even said he wasn't taking it easy. Both RV and Stewart put in their fastest laps of the night in the second half of the race. So no, Villo was not shuting it down. He couldn't afford too. You might want to watch that race again.

RV put in his best lap before JS went down and after that he got a decent lead and calmed down a bit. while JS was riding over his head.

Stewart finished 2nd. RV was first. How many times did RC beat Stewart after James set the fastest lap times in or outdoors? Alot. RC quote, " Lap times dont mean shit."

This argument was not about who won the race dumbass. Learn to read. Better yet, quit skipping and get your ass back to school. You obviously need an education.

Racer111 you might want to look at the finish difference in your post. RV won by 4.681 seconds, not 2 seconds. Everyone needs to just calm down and enjoy a great season and it will all play out. We can always find stats and laps to rationalize our position for our rider, but the bottom line is who crosses the line at the checkers first wins. James and Ryan are giving us what we have been waiting for and if CR, RD, TC get out front early and our boys are buried in the pack, it will be epic.Smile

Haha. Never thought that Uncleof2 will be the voice of the reason. Good job. Let the races be raced, let racers race and let the best man win.

Can I also add Trey Canard? that kid wadded so hard in his heat and I thought no way will he be ready for the main, he was flying. I think with a year or two under his belt all these guys won't know what hit them.

One lap doesn't make you fastest. Speed that is consistent over many laps is what gets the job done. Anyone can get lucky for one lap...

Pretty sure I saw Canard reel in the "big three" from out of nowhere, and got by Dungey. He just needs to smooth out a bit more and be patient. He made a couple of small mistakes that cost him. He has the skills and the bike to win the whole enchilada.

I am not arguing that fact douche. You are so dead set on lap times I was simply bringing up the fact the finishing order.

Ummm, I think you need to learn how to read there boy, RV beat him by 4.6 seconds, not 2. I guess your little country bumkin ass needs to quit finger banging their sister and go by their own words. Do us all a favor and choke on your moms panities while you are huffing them. Bitch.

I have to believe that, in regards to TC and RD, even if JS and RV are "buried in the pack," that TC and RD have the same pace to beat JS and RV. That is what is going to make this year interesting.

People already giving the championship to RV and JS are highly misguided.

Personally I think we'll see some ebb and flow during the season, especially as we really get into the grind of things. Maintaining that top level for 17 races is damn hard.
