Just look at the timing. It’s not random.

But you would have to know what the requirements are to declare war, and then donnie would need approval. if you were paying attention.
Skating those requirements isn’t random, he knows he would not get congressional approval. Because this war is bullshit. This shit is obvious “if” people payed attention.
But then again the US can’t just keep sending missiles down range, there isn’t a never ending supply.

Totally winning. When gas is $8.00 it’s going tho be winning like nobody ever won before, you guys are going to be so sick of winning

Well, today I was dealing with a Kohler rep. The $900 faucet wasn’t working right after installing it. Those hand sensor types are garbage. They get air locked if there’s any air in the system. Then the little valve that opens up and allows water through goes to shit. By the end of the day, 3 weren’t working. I’m trying to get a final inspection by the end of the week and, the fuckin faucets aren’t going to arrive until August.

Then I got home after spending 1/2, my day on the phone and sending emails to help my daughter with her car. Then my wife is sick so, after all this I went grocery shopping. I bought the wrong fucking grapes. This bag of bullshit tastes like cotton candy. Why the hell would anyone want a cotton candy flavored grape?

I just want the day to end already but, nooooo….
My dumb ass jumps on Vital to attempt to unwind and, I see I’m quoted. Does Trump need congressional approval. The fuck? Let me call him and, ask because I’m on a first name basis with the guy. Jesus Christ what a day!!

God damn. I hope things get better .
Pro tip, don’t go on non moto. Just dumb shit here.

I just asked what peoples cap is regarding gas prices in the other thread. I’m pretty close to limiting most of my outdoor stuff to half of what it usually is. Once salmon season kicks off, I usually fish after work Wednesday through Friday. Fish all day Saturday then, go riding on Sundays. I might just limit myself to Saturdays and, Sundays. Work is pretty uncertain atm on top of these bullshit gas prices.

Man I don’t know. It looks like it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Might be tight for a year or so.

Summer isn’t even here and, it’s $6.17 a gallon atm.  Hopefully, it won’t last that long.

I heard if you paid for the Trump Gold Plus Plan with your Trump phone it only does calls to and from the man, the myth, the legend himself. The smartest phone in the world only calls the smartest man in the world.

EDIT - Sorry to hear about the grapes. Speaking of grapes, they are some of the many produce codes I still have seared into my memory from when I was a 14yr old grocery store worker...Green grapes 4022, red grapes 4023. Felt sick being able to crank codes out when self checkout became a thing in my adult life and I still had them locked and loaded. Which ones did you get?

You're kidding right? We were paying $12gal for VP years ago and still went riding. During some of the really high price days we did switch to buying AV gas and mixing 50/50 with pump gas. Ironically the AV gas was cheaper than pump gas. Some places they make you show your pilots license to buy it.

I’m talking about at the pump and, filling our vehicles.
Five gallon can of VP is, a little different than 36 gallons and, $180 (in my case) to fill the truck. But, yeah… I’m still going riding. Oh and, fishing LOL

Wild what race gas is going for. The stuff run in pro racing is $215 per 5 gallon can  $43.00 per gallon.  WIld to think how I used to think it was pricey at $26 back years ago.

When I was a teenager working running heavy equipment, Off road Diesel was $0.42 per gallon when I started. Crazy how fast it went up and then back down. Now up higher than ever. Saw a post locally on FB about a woman's heating oil bill being close to $3k. I feel so old now.

I have an oil furnace. 300 gallons to fill at over $7 a gallon.
I was angry when it was $4.50 a gallon. Now, I’m just thankful the weather is warming up and, the furnace isn’t running all night.

Just stirring the pot. But in all seriousness, even at $12 gal. Let's say your 40 miles away from riding, at 18mpg, that's 5 gal or $60 instead of $30. Does anyone really think I'd give up a fun day for $30? That is 2 drinks if you go out.

All good man. You know that.

I’ve road tripped to California to go riding lol. Where I go riding the most is about 160 miles round trip. I’m not too concerned about it. Just glad I get decent mileage in the lil 2.7 at this point.

Man everything is. Fuel will be going up much more if you listen to the industry experts.
Food will be going up next with the fertilizer issues. From feeding beef to growing vegetables. This is going to last a long time. But at least Israel is happy

How is that going to help? And how many years until it possibly could help? I think they export their heavy crude to the gulf states to be refined. I know the US can’t refine it.  Or maybe I’m wrong and you work in the petroleum industry ? Spill the beans if so, lots of experts around here to learn from.

Looks like they better agree to something.

Reading where Saudi Arabia and the UAE are laying into iran now.

Everyone in the region wants these, idiot clerics, out of the picture.

Permanently.

I have a 500 gallon tank. Glad I got it filled just before things went wild, there was a blizzard and I had them come just before it so I wouldn't have to dig out the oil filler after. I can make it last until the fall if I'm lucky. My hot water uses the furnace and my mom likes it to be 70 . I was driving my Diesel pusher for a while as my daily driver when my truck was getting some work done on it. 90 gallons per week of diesel. I don't drive as much now, I can't imagine how much I'd be spending if I was driving it still. I've been using my mom's old Jeep to get around and its not bad on gas. I haven't driven the RV in a while, I'm still hoping to go through it and get it ready to go out this summer with my mom.

She's in a wheelchair still, after breaking her hip and the rehab really dropping the ball on the PT. The RV would make it easier to go on longer drives.Shes on hospice. My Dad and her  always would talk about how they would travel in an RV if he won the lottery. As well as giving away most of the money. He passed away in 2015, I'm not able to go out on the road with her for weeks at a time. But I hope to take her on some shorter 2 or 3 maybe 4 day trips. Visit some places , family and friends of hers. She has nurse visits and other things that would limit how long we could be gone. But I want to try and make some of that dream of hers happen , even if its only a single weekend we get out. She may not be able to enjoy it , so who knows how it will go.

I hope prices come down by next winter. I worry about elderly people on fixed incomes who are already having a tough time affording heating oil. I've got a fireplace and acres of trees that I'll use more often if I have to.

Hope You are able to stretch out that oil of Yours too.

Really sorry to hear about your mom. You’re a good son.

I can stretch the oil out if I had to. We have a fireplace. I’m sitting on a few cords of wood that I split a few summers ago as well for emergencies or, if power goes out. The only thing using oil is the furnace. I will probably have to fill the tank back up in November. It was just filled the last week of February. Thankfully, I only have to have it filled twice a year. Still sucks though as it’s gone up nearly 50%

When I was a teenager working running heavy equipment, Off road Diesel was $0.42 per gallon when I started. Crazy how fast it went up and then back down. Now up higher than ever. Saw a post locally on FB about a woman's heating oil bill being close to $3k. I feel so old now.

Are you able to coordinate with out of area hospices to care for your mom while on the road? That seems like it should be a a doable thing with advanced planning. I had to do something similar with my Dad that he could get is dialysis in a different city.

Thanks, its not always easy to help her. But I know she would do the same for me. And I couldn't live with myself if she was in a nursing home. AFter her time in radio She worked at some higher end places and less nice places while she was a CNA before retiring and working with me for a while until she started to have health issues that made it too difficult.SHe told me stories about the places she worked and while 90% of the times it was all good. That other % of time is what I will do whatever I have to do to make sure she doesn't have to deal with those things.

She is the most selfless person I've ever met. Still worried about all of her kids. Sometimes she will wake me up in the middle of the night and make me tell her and show her that my sisters and brother are OK. I could go on and on about her. I'm sad that she has dementia and alzheimers and the smart , well speaking person I have known my entire life is slowly disappearing . But so far she's still holding onto the big stuff that makes her herself. And I'm so glad I'm able to be with her to share her good days. Seeing her laugh and smile. She loves Borat and laughs when I do my impersonation when she's having a good day. Before she broke her hip, she broke a couple vertebrae that healed in a way that is sometimes painful. She started to fall and hit the corner of her dresser and that cracked them just enough to cause some long-term pain.  Tylenol takes care of most of that pain  thankfully. So shes not on anything too strong. That makes me happier to know shes not in a lot of pain. and most days she will say shes very happy and loving life still.

We normally have to fill up 3 times a year. But most times its not a full 500 gallons. they come and top it off when it starts to get close to a 1/4 tank.  Keeping the house at 70 makes it burn a bit more oil. But warm weather is here and we should be good until sometime in the fall.  I have a lot of firewood that is in log lengths . I cut some of the trees closer to the house down  and have 5 acres of woods out behind my shop that I can pull firewood from if I have to. I hand spilt the wood for now. Since we have been using the fireplace less often. But I may ramp things up to save on fuel.

I'll ask her nurse  the next time she comes. That's a good idea, thanks!   We might be able to align her visits/supplies deliveries so that wouldn't be a problem , but if she's really enjoying the traveling that would be a great option!  I'll talk to the nurse to see what we would have to do so I know and hopefully she can stay healthy enough to enjoy it.

Hospice companies make a fair bit of $$s that they may not like to share. If you get answers you don't like, verify from another source before you accept their answer.
