Anyone Running Hitliss and DRT Cylinder Head Combo On Their YZ250?

I’m thinking about buying a Hitliss kit and pairing it with a DRT cylinder head. If anyone is running this combo I would love to hear some feedback. My yz250 is stock behind a 304 silencer. I previously had a 2005 Cr250 with a cylinder ported and polished by Pro Circuit with a decked head, VForce reeds, FMF fatty, and shorty. The Yz250 has a lot more top end and overev but I miss the low end power my Cr250 with it’s ability to just with the front wheel. With the RC valve and other mods the Cr had a linear powerband. I’m wondering if the Hitliss would give me that along with the DRT cylinder head giving it the bottom end I’m looking for.

OK I am old school but what happened to just turning the stock head like all motor builders have always done to get the sweet spot?

On my own 01 YZ250 I went to moto tassinari v force intake and FMF SST pipe and silencer that added HP/torque all the way across the board.

My pervious bike, a 2005 Cr250 had the cylinder ported and polish by Procircuit along with the head decked for 93 Octance. The reason I'm considering the DRT cylinder head is because it has interchangeable domes. The different domes are able to change the compression by changing the domes to run 93, 100, or 110 octane.

I’ve seen mixed reviews on the hitless, some guys love it and others go back and forth on it

Just having the OEM head cut and squish set correctly is a large upgrade along with getting the jetting really dialed in. That and a fly wheel weight of your choice might get you the bottom end you are looking for?

I know a lot of guys like the idea of changeable domes, but how often would you really change them? Mototech also has a head with many dome options, talking to him he might be able to suggest a combo (power valve mods) that works also.
