Upending Iran is a good idea. It has a young population living under the boot of an extreme fundamentalist minority. Iran has funded terrorist orgs for decades, and China & Russia are massive supporters. The other middle eastern countries have their own issues with Iran, and a strategic change in leadership would be welcomed by the west.
The US and Israel have the resources to achieve “victory”. But until something is defined, it’s impossible to know when victory is achieved. In fact, the goals of this operation are just vaguely referenced, as a stated objective would become the proverbial goal line. Trump’s smart enough to avoid specificity as it gives him wiggle room and makes “success” a moving target. It’s especially frustrating for those on the front lines, as the mission becomes blurry without structured guidance from senior leadership.
Well we can count the lives lost as a result of going into Iran .

And the lives taken by Iran backed terror attacks and assonations .
Iran has sponsored termism but is not known for doing it themselves. Still they support the groups who did it from what I've been able to find the number of people killed by all of the attacks connected to Iran is around 4000 ish between 1979 and now. With most of those deaths being in Iraq between 2003 and 2011 (608 US soldiers) and during the oct 7th attack in Israel (1200 ish ) None killed on US soil , but cyber attacks and threats.
The US and Israel ( indirectly by funding various terror groups) have already killed many more people in a much shorter time. I'm including that info since I expect there to be replies that point out the terror attacks Iran is responsible for. Not much that has been done has helped reduce the risks of the groups that were directly doing the terra attacks going forward with future attacks. And the risk of future attacks is higher now than it has been in years. Again according to the US government, the current government.
But that's not why the US is there, we are there because of the uranium that was buried last year when the bunkers were bombed according to the US . If Iran has not even dug it up yet, seems strange that they would be considered such a threat as far as the nuclear stuff goes. I believe Trump or somebody speaking for the US was the source for saying it was still buried.
Iran still has their Uranium, many of the groups they have sponsored still have hate for the US .
So how are we any safer now than before?

CIA officers dying in a plane crash, government scientists dead or missing, and all those former government conspiracy folks are just like, yup seems fine our government is totally legit now. Had the us not gone in,all of the people would still be alive that were killed so far in the war. And the people that died before the war would still be dead no matter if the war happened or not. The point of the post was the lives that the war has cost.
I separated them because the reason stated for going in was the threat of a nuclear weapon not state sponsored terrorism.
As of right now I would say we are less safe. If iran is negotiating the uranium and future enrichment. That means the threat has been yet again kicked down the road.
I'm not saying it will not be eliminated. But as of right now we have a higher risk of a terrorist attack in the us.

What exactly is the point? Ad of right now Iran has only been slowed down. Otherwise why the need to negociate the uranium etc.
Higher risks of terrorism from iran in the us right now than maybe ever. If we take history into accounr and irans word that they didn' intend on making a weapon with the uranium.
Than there have been more people killed than iran killed between 1979 and now. If they never intended making a nuke. Those groups they funded still have the hate and motive to attack us. Less funding potentialy so i geuss there is that.

Could easily say the same about searching homes of people that live in high crime cities and neighborhoods. It absolutely would yield results, which is a lot more than we can say about those WMD's and likely more than we're going to be able to say on this broken record operation.

And whether or not the US pulled out, if they truly were against military grade, they didn't need us to restrict them. Their own actions tell you their words are lies. They didn't enrich uranium because we pulled out, they enriched uranium because that's what they wanted to do.

Im useing statements from them because the first thing many Trump lovers say is that Im repeating democrat talking points. If im qouting Trump and his agencies reporting I thought they may discuss instead of deflect.
