I read this last night about him doing the first 4 rounds.....
If him , RV , RD , TC , CP , Reed and the like are all healthy.....WOW!!.....could be a great out door season as well!
Lets just hope most of them make it out of SX without any injuries!

Damn dude 2nd page...
I really hope I'm wrong and he does all of the outdoors.
If this is true and he's planning to do the first 4 MX races to get on the MXdN team I'd think that isn't a great way to go about it. The 4th race is around the end of June. is that for a tryout for a race that's 3 months later in September? I don't know.
Do em all James! You and Regal. Then make it a no-brainer that you'd be a major part of the MXdN US team. Give the rest of the world a chance to see what you can do in person.
Race while you can.
One doesn't have to like James or the way he runs his career, but to not consider him a "moto warrior" is just...silly.
For the record, I think James should be racing while he can race. He'll have plenty of time to be retired.
Not only that, but he has tried to blame not riding outdoors on his supercross "only" contract. Uhhh, excuse me? Who was it that knowingly signed that contract? If he didin't ride the outdoors, it was because he didn't want to. His excuses have just been team manager and agent generated nonsense to minimize the fallout on his career they KNEW would be generated by turning his back on the sport that made him a multimillionaire.
It would be like an NBA or NFL or MLB player saying, "Yeah, I'm going to try to extend my career by playing home games "only" and skip all those hostile fans and nasty traveling by private jet." Not real good for the the team or the sport huh? Except you don't see those guys doing that, despite the fact that they make enough money to buy James Stewart "Entertainment" easily, several times over.
Ricky Carmichael, to whom you so readily compare Stewart, NEVER participated in that kind of peacock-strutting stupidity. He never missed an outdoor season, and never lost an outdoor series. The only series he ever missed was the 2004 supercross season due to knee injury. And what was he doing doing that season? Well after riding and winning for 7 years and having enough money to last several lifetimes, he was rehabbing his knee and getting ready for the Nationals-which he dominated...again. He gave it all he had for 10 years and then bowed out gracfully with a legacy that will only become greater with time. Moto Warrior.
The reality show is hard to watch...especially because we all know how great it could be if it was centered around what made/makes him such a force of the sport. I don't believe the show is an accurate reflection on who James is. Maybe it is, but I doubt it.
I also think that if James wanted to race full seasons he would be racing full seasons. BUT I recognize that it's his choice and he did the work to be in the position to do or not do what he wants. As much as I'd like to see him out there racing I recognize that having choices as success.
Yes, I do readily compare James to Ricky. How can I not? James, I believe, was the most formidable competitor RC faced in his career. I think RC's battles with James were far more impressive than RC taking down McGrath. At the point RC beat McGrath; McGrath, in my opinion, had already seen his best days. Ricky actually had to get better to prepare for James' arrival into the big class...and, of course, Ricky delivered...but James earned his place in those battles as well.
With all of RC's accomplishments you have to remember that James almost beat RC in their first SX race together and did beat him in his 3rd attempt. No, not for the titles, but he was the GOAT's fiercest rival. That is saying a lot.
Of course RC's overall resume trumps James' accomplishments, especially leaving one, maybe even two championships on the table in '07.
We're on the same page; I just maintain that James' "Moto Warrior Card" is safe...he's THAT good. That also makes it frustrating that he chooses to not share much of it with us, the fans.
Nice to have a good back and forth with you.
Pit Row
Should be an epic match up.
And yes - I intentionally didn't bother mentioning the 2010* outdoor champion.
Post a reply to: Stewart doing the first 4 Nationals I guess.
