Hey everyone I have put a deposit on a new 2025 Husky FC450, coming off a 2019 Yz450f. I was going to go with a new yz450f but the husky was too good of a deal to pass up at 10k cad OTD. The 26 yz450f retails for 13.5k cad + whatever other BS charges and taxes, anyways. Anyone have any real world experience riding one of these and share any helpful setup or upgrade tips for a B level rider? I loved my 19 yz but wanted something a little lighter and nimble feeling. Any issues with these new Huskys a guy should be aware of? There actually isn't to much literature online about these bikes other than the shootouts where most of the guys are complaining about it being too short, being 5' 11" tall myself I dont see this being an issue with with the extra cash savings I don't mind putting some money into upgrades at all. Any input is appreciated thanks!

I have a different Austrian bike, but 6500s are excellent and the CUO is pretty cool.

2025 Husky's are pretty solid, rideable bikes right out the box. Pay attention to the spokes and keep after them. Grease the linkage and swingarm pivot shaft and chain adjuster bolts. Take the head bearings apart and grease and look for any debris inside the headtube and frame. Some bikes seem to have left over metal debris from the frame being shot-blasted at the factory which can work into the head bearings and ruin them. Put a little anti-seize dab on the seat bolt and never tighten it very much since it threads into the tank. Put a shock spring on for your weight and don't be afraid to try different fork pressures. Air is free, for the time being anyway. Change the oil & filter every 5 hours and the engine will last a long time. Flush and bleed the brakes and clutch about the 7-10 hr mark or sooner if they start feeling mushy.
