Thanks, she started on hospice a couple weeks ago . But still has had a bunch of great days. They make the rough ones easier to get through. I never thought seeing my mom smile or her eyes open, would mean so much and make me feel so much joy. They told me most people wait until its too late to get onto hospice ,they are not worried about her passing anytime soon. Hospice just happens to be the best mix of services and benefits that can help her the way she would have wanted to do things .
I helped my Mom care for my Dad for 2 years after he had a stroke , before he passed away at home in his bed. I'm going on 4 years now helping my mom. The ups and downs make it hard to stay positive. But I'm doing better with that.

EDIT - At least in Reba's song the mother had the decency to wait until her daughter was 18. It reminds me of all the childhood actors who were exploited by their parents who have since had spectacular meltdowns.
