First week in the mix I think a solid qualifier and top 15 would be good.
After a couple races I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top 10 or even the top 5.
He is going to be a fan favorite I would bet which will get the Geico/FC squad a little extra PR
When he got out front in that heat race last year at round 1 my son and I were standing up and screaming at the TV......lol.
I think he will have a little adjustment time for the bike so I am being conservative in my prediction for Phoenix.
I will definitely be pulling for him to be in at the front of the pack and if he gets top 10 we will be cheering right along with you.
Sometimes the cards dont fall in the right place at the right time.
Pit Row
He is lucky enough to have his family behind him and to have enough resources and support to do that.
There are very few spots to be had on factory or good satellite teams and when I spoke with Jimmy last year for an interview after the SX season he said he would rather do it on his own than take just any ride for the sake of being with a team.
Don't forget that this is the kid who got out in front of Pourcel and Barcia at round 1 last year, put it into every main event and then grabbed a top 5 finish all on a straight up privateer bike.
That took some skill.
Do you really think that the folks at Geico/FC Honda would have offered him the ride if they didn't think he had some serious skills?
Go Jimmy!!!!!
66 will be in top 10 ( fingers crossed!)
