Good ride for 1st race back…. Seemed to be the best guy all night in the rhythm sections.  Looked a little rough in the whoops.

Didn't hit the ground and starts were good enough. Gotta be happy with that.

We all talk a lot about Chase the “head case”…. But with his recent comments about working on himself, etc.  Let’s put a little perspective on it.

He goes out last night and gives his best on a bike that’s not the magic feel that he’s after and goes P2.  Probably P3 if Hunter gets his normal start…. Maybe P4 if Tomac isn’t sick or whatever.  But Chase also knows if he can get the magic feel in the bike he wins maybe 50% of the races.

So in your own mind, as a racer, do you just take the top 3’s or do you want to keep working on it until you find that magic feel more often than not?  I know I want to keep working on it.

What it tells me is Chases setup window for max comfort on the bike is smaller than most other riders.

But going out and working on himself and taking this time, even if it’s P3’s, might help open up that window of comfort a little.  And that would be a good thing.
