I see some pretty good deals on 2025 KTM 250SX and 2025 Husqvarna TC250 right now.  Also, some crazy deals on the 2024 GasGas MC250.

I was pretty set on the 2025 KTM 250SX and am now second guessing things.  Considering the Husky more and maybe the GG.  I've really enjoyed my other two Husqvarnas over the "same" KTMs I've ridden.

Is there a consensus on the lower height of the Husqvarna?  I'm 6' and don't mind the normal height of the KTM.  I read some things about the suspension being not quite as good also, but not consistently.

I know the GasGas has different spec components and am not sure if they're necessarily lower spec or just different.  Any experience good or bad?

This bike will be used for MX and hare scrambles.  An easier to ride 250 2-stroke should serve my needs well. Just not sure if there is a clear winner.

Gasgas has an EU suspension setting that is softer than the KTM. For hare scrambles the GG suspension is going to be better. Also for hare scrambles I really like the lower seat height of the Husky, and it seems a little easier to push it through turns for 90+ minutes than a full height bike. You do lose 10mm of ground clearance which can be important in ruts more than anything else. I don't think there is a clear answer. I think the Husky air box is a little smoother than the KTM but you might not notice. 2025 chassis has a little more comfort than the 2024 especially in the front end.

If you can find a deal on a TX/XC or EX you will get the new spring forks and the bigger tank and 18" rear. Not like the moto bikes are bad for hare scrambles though and OEM big tanks are like $150.

You wont get the map switch on the GasGas so it will be in the "tamer" map so same as the white map if you ride it back to back with the other two just FYI. I say go with what you find the best deal on, whatever you save and spend on things to make the bike just how you want it will have a bigger effect than the differences between the bikes anyways.

I’d also look at the 2026 Beta 250 and 350 RX.  Beta makes good two strokes too……..with Carbs to boot.

Waynesburg Powersports in PA has some 2024 250s under $6500, they aren't BS prices i got a quote on a KTM from them last year and the add on fees were minimal.

Thanks.  Went on their website but don't see anything advertised so I probably need to give them a call to get pricing.
