The fact you guys think Merrick Garland - one of the meekest, cautious (to a fault!) and by the book Attorney Generals America has probably ever had - would have exploited it for political gain, is ridiculous.
They ( the DOJ) had a case all ready to go in 2006 that was killed and Epstein got a slap on the wrist. I think its clear that people in both parties , and that donate big bucks to both are on the list.
While some are just making it about Trump and not the 100's or thousands of people named in the files. There are people in power that should be exposed.
Trump has said his friends will be hurt if the info comes out. So He's admitting to being friends with and protecting all kinds of bad people. Regardless of if he himself did or did not do anything to get him in the files with legit allegations or not. He ran of releasing the files and walked that back. There are still as many files not released as have been released so who knows what could be in there.
Making all about Trump allows the others to get away with everything.
Bush, Obama ,Trump, Biden were all presidents after the first case was made against Epstein and all share the responsibility for how badly its been handled.
Maxwells cell mate has told reporters that Maxwell was trying to get a pardon from the Biden admin in exchange for incriminating Trump. So either they did not want to open that can of worms, didn't believe her, or were also protecting the same people Trump is protecting now and did not want that info to get out. They may even have thought that it wouldn't change anything if Trump was guilty of the worst crimes anyway. And it would bring down some big money doners , so maybe that's why they stayed away from it. There could be many reasons .
There is certainly a subset of people who just want a "gotcha" on Trump, but there is a much larger slice of society who just want to see child rapists, and most likely worse, brought to justice no matter standing or popularity.
The fact that some people around here are trying to justify why it's still being buried by saying "well so and so didn't do anything" is, to me, absolutely fucking reprehensible. I wouldn't piss on someone who actively looks the other way if they were on fire.
That point has been made several times and it’s not a bad thought. But if the dems have information in those files they don’t want to come out themselves, might explain why they didn’t use it on Trump. In other words, they are all in on it and want it to stay in the dark.

I would like to think that there is a larger group that just wants anybody and everybody that did bad stuff to people punished than there are that are hoping Trump is one of those people. I was speaking mostly to the people who think this subject should be done with, just because of Trump.
Let's say that Trump is 100% innocent like many who want to forget about it say. I personally say he is guilty by association at best. And I am not exonerating ANYBODY when I say that. He just happens to have said that his friends would be hurt if info came out, and is in one of the best positions at the moment to get that info out . Why should all of those people that have done bad things get away with them just because there are some people hoping that they have a gotcha moment on Trump? Even the people that are hoping they have something on Trump want the other people held accountable too. I don't think You will find anybody that wants to just forget about if there is no gotcha file on Trump. So even those people want justice ,even if they are blinded a little by their dislike of Trump.
It seems like a minority of people that are mostly Trump supporters want to let all those other people get away with stuff. I'm not sure exactly why they would want that.
It seems clear that the justice system is not going to punish the people that were doing stuff alongside Epstein. And the court of public opinion , and being "canceled" may be the only justice the victim's are able to get.
Separate note, it's a shame news never dug deeper into the death notice for Epstein being drafted a day before it happened. Between JE and GM there's so many oddities "post-death" that have yet to get pressed on.

It's the unfortunate part about some names being redacted yet, we won't know a full co-conspirator list until those get released. The closest thing to the list you're asking about (for now) would be his emails. Not that all are incriminating, it just helps paints a picture who was interacting with him and when.

"the Epstein list" implies a list of co-conspirators, clients, or associates. I think you're confusing that term with "Epstein's list", which may exist somewhere in the millions of files yet to be released, but there's not one yet.
I believe the government has a list of folks who are guilty and is covering it up/refusing to release. I also believe that JE definitely had a client list.
