While you conveniently forget it was the prior 4 years that inflation caused everything to get too expensive. My business invoices for the same products went up almost 30% during Biden. Yes during Covid the entire world had horrible inflation. But it got lower each year after and was lower than what we have now. Getting inflation down while growing the economy is really hard to do and he was entire successful. The USA economy was the envy of the world.

You can say it is childish to blame other people for things going south in their lives, but I see you complain about prices in the "Are we headed into a recession"-topic too. You're aware of the situation. Besides petroleum the countries around the Strait of Hormuz are also the key supplier of artificial fertilizer, this means that the Argo-culture world will be hit twice and food prices will be sky rocking. Everything that Trump promised is going down the drain now, the groceries will become even more expensive while he said he could fix the prices within 24 hours, same with the prices of energy. He would help people build their pension if they would invest in pension plans that where linked to the market. But at the moment the market is reacting like a drunk manic depressed person, trying to anticipate on what a demented, sociopath with megalomania will do. Bomb for fun?!

While everyone with knowledge from Iran probably told them: "Hormuz will be held hostage by Iran" and "Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps won't switch as easily'. Bibi didn't care about that because Israel will put a maximum price on the pump for his citizens if the war keeps on going. Trump thought about his ego and not about the true blue blood Americans, who will financially bleed when this keeps going. Fisherman that are already talking about quitting because all their material became more expensive due to the tariffs, who the real blue blood Americans where/are paying too, and now diesel going up like crazy.

You immediately countered with, during Biden’s term after quoting me. Yeah gas prices are climbing. It’s concerning because it going to affect every part of the economy. Yep, I’m bitching about it now, exactly like I did in 2023 and, gas prices were $7.50 a gallon. Why, because I’m not a hypocrite. My concerns aren’t related to who’s in office. Complaining about financial situations/inflation isn’t the same thing as going thread to thread and, crying about Trump either yet, that’s exactly what you do. So, what’s your point? I started a specific thread for that specific issue. Ever notice it’s the same people bitching about the same person? I know I’m not the only one noticing it. The same people infecting every single discussion.

I hear ya. Was the same from 2021-24 when similar attacks were levied against Biden. Political affiliation was and is the near sole decision making criteria. If Biden would have launched a campaign against Iran and achieved similar results Non-Moto would have lost its mind.
As for obliterating Iran, I don’t think we can successfully imbed a country with western morals via mass destruction. Unless those morals include slaughtering innocent civilians. Not really surprised Non-Moto was more offended by Iran hanging a wrestler than the US taking out 150 schoolchildren.

Well it’s certainly been better. Being in the trades almost all my employed life ,raising 4 kids with my wife and being the sole financial support during those days has taught me to play it safe with my finances. Never extend myself too far, save for the expensive things instead of going into credit card debt and save whatever I could. Now that it’s just my wife and I, we still follow that game plan and look for ways to save. We are frugal still. Now we have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren with another on the way, one thing as a parent you come to realize is once you are, you are forever, you never stop worrying that their ok and they are. Our goal now is to leave them something when our time is up. So yes, the economy isn’t great and I hope things turn for the better for everyone soon.
KB, that’s awesome. I’m in a similar boat. No grandkids but a single income household for 25+ years and putting 3 kids through (not inexpensive) college. But we made decent investments and will soon sell our house and pay off all debt with the equity and giving ourselves a $5K/month raise in the process. Damn, kids are expensive!
