Recently took my cone valve forks off of my 2023 KTM 450 SX-F and traxx shock off of my old 2019 KTM 450 SX-F and was determined to make them fit on the stark. A lot of modifications are required but it is possible. I'll be riding on them for the first time today!

Looks good on there! I will say normally I like the KYB stuff, but Stark really missed the mark on their settings out of the box, or at least they did on my bike since it was one of the early ones. I’m up about 4 spring rates in the forks at this point without any changes to the rear because the bike was very unbalanced out of the factory, currious if you found the same thing and that’s why you were motivated to make the cone valves fit.
My VINs were in the 800s and my suspension was extremely unbalanced as well. Fork would completely blow through stroke with front brake use and shock was much too stiff. After getting it re-valved and clicker settings better it’s my favorite suspension. I would recommend a revalvle instead of a complete swap out, but to each their own.
Any updates on this?

Dam that is a sexy bike 🤤
Since the original post, I bought two new starks and sold my first one.

My experience was similar to yours on my 2024, build # 8,526. The re-valve made a huge difference, but I still bottom the forks sometimes even with the compression turned 6 clicks from fully closed. I think I'm going to put in heavier fork springs. I'm wondering what everyone's favorite suspension tuner is for these bikes. I've heard good thinks about JBI.
What kind of mods needs to be done to the forks? Would like to transfer my cv’s to the stark.
Depends on how you want to go about it. For the forks, you can either, bore the bottom stock clamps from 59 mm to 60 mm. Or you can modify the KTM triple clamps to mount the front fender and stark phone. For the rear shock, depends on the model shock you have. 2016-2018 trax shock, no mods required to the bike, but do need to swap the bushing on the top of the shock. If you go with 2019-2022 trax shock, you have to notch the chassis to get clearance for the shock to fit. I've done both methods at this point.
YES!
Thanks! I have a set of luxon clamps so would be nice to take them over as well. I’ll look into it, thanks again for your reply!
