The website is a little basic. Like Dave said you can't order and you can't even view the full range of colours, just some little coloured squares...

I personally don't like the combination of the old school and new school JT logos (see thighs on pants). And 8 different colourways in one design??

I would have preferred an old school design in a few colourways and then a newer age (90's) design in a few of the 90's colourways.

But that's just my opinion... Smile

They have had how long to get this thing together? Big long countdown and can't even see all color combo's or sizes or...
This was no way to have a "grand openning". Such a let down.
If your going to have the longest dramatic pause in MX history the punchline needed to be way more dialed in.

I get that people are all excited about seeing the JT logo on new gear, but knowing that the people behind it are the same licensing french fashion dorks responsible for the von dutch and ed hardy disgrace, just takes the wind out of the "comeback" for me.

The thing that made JT so cool was their style and progression. The ALS-2. Their chest protector. So many awesome things! They just oozed style. These new guys don't posses that and it still baffles me people are so stoked on seeing a re-hashed logo on a set of gear. The original soul of JT is lacking imo.

JT comes back from the embers due to our screaming for old world gear.
They deliver it and all of the sudden you guys don't like it.

You guys should be ashamed and appreciate their efforts even if you aren't buying their gear.

Looks like someone got hold of the rights and milked the PR cow....Its not bad looking gear, gloves look good. But wheres the payoff?? Cant order, cant see much detail of the gear. Its a 1970's release with 2010 techie bits.

People would probably really like it if they could fucking see it. We're talking about the web site. Is it still dark in Alaska?

What a disappointment the website launch is. Guess I thought you could order once it was live... I'm still gonna buy some gear, but this is not the launch that the lead up pitched it as. Bad marketing plan to say the least...

Old school gear = old school website. They know their target market doesn't use computers anyway.

Have you ever hit a bottle of Champagne on a ships hull and it didn't break? or maybe you've purchased $2,000,000 dollars of fireworks and didn't bring any matches and it rained all night... or found out there was no santa and your parents were poor... ok seriously all joking aside... not a very good way to start off 2011... should have put an open call out for an award winning marketing adman... ;-)

Well I want a couple new helmets, and am not in such a big hurry like the rest. I can wait. Colors i will bet they get more online soon, and well not being in a hurry i can wait for that to.

I hope they don't bother with making an open face helmet, but if they do i would buy that one also, not for racing as in AMA competition they aren't legal anymore but for dinkin around be ok.

Todays world has made many just to damn expectant on immeadiate. I want it now, not tommorow and it sucks if it's not that way.

Oh well. it's a good reason why things are so f'd up.

I think it's a pretty good bet that selling helmets and pants is pretty low on the JT to do list. But I bet every b,c, and d lister in LA will be sporting JT Racing T Shirts this summer.

But still all that hype and this? Only Y2K delivered less for the hype.

wow... don't really get the whole "that's why the world is messed up" business...

and I do respect and understand your position with this brand...

but the simply fact is that the fans and us x-riders only expected what was promised (hyped)... so many of us did not purchase products from other companies and waited for quote THE BIG RELEASE website... that they hyped... and of course all media websites hyped it with the BIG preview night gala... lol

and then dick...

so yes we expected what we were hyped to believe... and YES... THAT IS F'D UP...

Enjoy... and Happy New Year's to all the good people on here... ;-)

Yeah, that's definitely disappointing as a website... they should just slap on the countdown again on this version and say full website coming soon.

It will be interesting to see in what direction JT will go next year and beyond, you can't do retro forever.

I've been holding out for our 2011 gear for the JT line to become available. Expected to be able to order today. Would like to know what late spring means. I suspect this will be more like late May / early June and if so then that is a big disappointment.

I thought helmets were supposed to be round to disperse the impact? A flat-top helmet=FAIL. O_o

By the looks of this thread and the fact that people are talking about JT -AGAIN - I think their strategy of releasing a little bit at a time seems to be working just fine. Really, you think they don't already have their web site fully designed and ready to go so they only released what they had?

For cry'n out loud - JT had a small count down clock on a web site that was started about a year ago and it hooked a good portion of you guys to keep checking a web site with only a clock (Me included) Hahahaha.

Could it be they are trying to keep the hype going as they release a little at a time? Their either marketing Einsteins or hoaxters. I am going with the idea that they know what they are doing. From what I've heard the first line of the new JT gear the public got a peak at is just the camel's nose under he tent - these guys know what they are doing alright...
