Been running the new MX32s for a while now on both my YZ450F and TF450x. Southwestern desert, so a mix of dune sand, and hard pack.

For me the front took the most getting used to coming from an MX3S and the old MX32 Pirelli.

Straight up and down the new MX32 really feels planted and stable, when leaning over it would almost just drop into turning very quickly. It took me a while to learn how to trust it over the Dunlops.

I think brand new the old MX32 front felt better, but once worn the new front tire felt better overall.

The new MX32 rear tire is a godsend, its absolutely amazing IMO. It has a huge amount of forward drive and predictable edge grip. A big issue with the MX14 out in the softer sand is it can push the front a lot when its soft because it hooks up so well. The old MX32 rear vs the new MX32 rear matches what a lot of people say. The new is not as grippy on lean angle as the old one, but it eats hard enough to overcome it.

The old MX32 you had to have the rear tire really spinning to get it to drive as well as the new one out of a corner but it felt good and predictable when hooked up.

The new MX32 also lasts a lot longer than the old one. I was chunking the old one within a few hours, meanwhile the new one is wearing evenly and hasnt chunks yet.

TLDR:

Fronts:

MX3S: IMO better overall tire on braking, grip, lean angle grip in all around conditions. Predictable everywhere

Old MX32: Better tire when new, but gets worse when worn

New MX32: Super stable on brakes, but dives in hard when cornering. Good grip all around, lasts much longer than old MX32. Just monitor tire pressure.

Rears:

MX34: Great all around tire even when worn.

MX14: Not as good edge grip, absolutely monstrous drive, but can overpower and push the front mid corner.

Old MX32 110/90: Better edge grip, chunks quickly.

New MX32 120/90 and 110/90: Amazing drive, not as good as MX14 but better than MX34 and old MX32. Does run the risk of overpowering and pushing the front. Better edge grip than MX14. Lasts way longer than old MX32.

Makes me want to run a Dunlop MX3S front and a new MX32 rear to see if I can get the best of both worlds.

I ran the old MX32 front and liked it quite a bit more than the MX34.  It usually lasted about 6-7 hours before getting unpredictable. The rear worked but didn't hold up well at all.  I only ran the rear once and had the sidewall blow out at about 8 hours (never seen that before!).  I love the new front as it seems to work everywhere for me and still working well at 10 hours.  The new rear is excellent as well though I am not as sensitive with rear tires so its not as big a deal. These are pictures of them at 10 hours with brand new for comparison.  I'm surprised at how much tread has worn on the rear but it still works ok, glad there was no chunking or sidewall issues.  I ride exclusively on a prepped track, though I am in Colorado so the jump transitions and faces are concrete so it is pretty hard on tires.  10 hours is my usual replacement time so I am happy with these, this will definitely be my go to set of tires.

I'm fixing to start this summer on the new 2.0 MX32 Mid-Soft 80/100-21 Front and MX Soft 110/90-19 Rear scoop on the MC250f for MN sand / loam tracks.

Everyone using 3mm tubes these days?

How does that 7-10 hour figure compare to your prior tires IE is it the same/better/worse wear than a set of dunlops?

The new Pirelli MX32 compared to the Dunlop MX34 wears a little bit quicker, but has more grip when worn.

How did the overall grip and feel compare between the new mx32 and the mx34 across soft terrain to hard pack?
