Nope, that's just for the shady crowd. Gotta make sure you're not a bot spamming for construction equipment. 😉

@bmcd70 Can you look into this problem?

I get a weird page when I click "start new topic" too. it wants me to upgrade or something.

Well I was hoping that I didn't get some kind of malware. I will feel better when an admin posts. Maybe not.

I only get it when I’m on cellular, not on WiFi.

As I've mentioned in other threads, AI bots have become a huge problem for us. They increase our hosting costs and slow down site performance for real users. The verifications are one way for us to block them (don't ask me exactly how it works, but it does). I'm personally seeing verifications more frequently on other sites that I visit, so it's not just a problem for Vital. The verification is not intended to be overly intrusive, but it's inevitable that some regular users will get blocked. Things like a VPN or incognito/private mode can be a factor. If you're a legitimate user and being blocked or seeing the verification multiple times in a single visit, please let me know. We're always fine-tuning the settings, so feedback can be useful.

@borg That doesn't sound like our verification. Please post a screenshot if you can.

OK. I just wanted to make sure that it is Vital that is requesting the verification and not some kind of malware. I'm pretty sure that I described it poorly so it's your verification.

I got a verification page that said click on all boxes with  a professional in them. Pro 125 was in a couple boxes waving to 3 young ladies wearing bikinis. Clicked on the appropriate boxes and never bothered again.

Yeah, not all the time but every now and then I do. I thought maybe it had something to do with with the update on my phone , which I hate by the way.

I've recently started getting a "verification", but I don't have to do anything, it just verifies the device I'm on?

I have also had issues with my posts saying that I blocked my own post, which I never did. So I realized that it had been more than a few days since I had logged out. So I thought, I’ll log out a see if that takes care of this post blocking deal. Sure enough it fixed it. So It might be the same for this verification stuff that’s going on. If you haven’t logged out in a while, give that a try and see if it cures the issue.
