I say bad idea. Almost any time someone starts monkeying around with a bike like that you're asking for trouble when you buy it. Plus, bored out engines tend to be less reliable. IMO spend your money on a slightly newer YZ125 and buy the GYTR 144 kit. From what I've heard that kit is very reliable.

What a piece of shit, just buy a 250. They engineer the 250 frame for a reason and they are not that much heavier than the 125.

Defintely stay away from this one. If you get a 125, I would think you would want to ride it first before you get it modified.

I wouldn't be buying that one...I have had three YZ125's - a 96/01/06 and they were damn near perfect!

I am completely lost as to why anyone would do this.

The goal was to create a bike slightly smaller than a YZ250, keeping the product lieghtweight and semi "tossable", maintain sufficient power and great handling.

Isn't that what 125 is? Slightly smaller than a 250?

Sounds like the goal was to take a 125 and make it perform much worse (by adding weight) and then topping it with mushy suspension...
