Guys, the new site should work well on Android and other phones as well. If something doesn't work well at first, we'll work it until it does. We look at this new site as a beginning, not an end.
The mobile site will update at the same time the desktop site does -- there will be no difference, lag time, etc.
As for the site being slow, hopefully that was just an initial caching thing. Our new home page is about half the weight of the old one, it's much more efficiently designed, and feedback has overwhelmingly shown faster load times for people. Hopefully that straightens out for you, Jman277. In the meantime, can you go here:

However, I have a huge complaint with the banners.
I know advertisers pay the bills but the banners lock up the sight when you try to open them on a computer that wasnt bought a month ago. The same issue on this sight with all the flash adds. I find myeelf going on other sights such as this and following links to articles that may be on your website. So the big flash style adds actually cause less traffic to the site and cause me to go on and see the adds less often. It seems that everyone that builds sites has to upgrade their computers to keep these sites up and running but loose sight of that fact that all the Joe Smo's like me put money into our bikes and not computers so its getting harder and harder to check the news and such on sites such as yours.
There thats my bit. I'm sure Ill hear crack for it.
Sticking with Web2.0/RSS is the way to go.
If it helps, my favorite site is Engadget. It has tons of info and I visit it more often than any other site because the info is still presented in a blog/newest first presentation.
What have your experiences with video been on the beta site, guys?

Anybody experiencing choppiness, poor image quality, etc.? Have you tried on mobile devices, and if so, how has it worked?
I hope this doesn't come across as too smammy -- we just really want feedback so we can get this stuff right. Happy holidays to everyone!
