I'm getting ready to start a build for a good friend of mine on his 2007 CR250. I've been putting it off for longer than I care to admit, and have decided to make time to get it done. We have a pretty healthy budget, so hoping to throw some decent parts at it and spend a good bit of time cleaning it up.
I've also been working on my setup and have added several new things (parts washer, vapor blaster, stainless tear down table, suspension vise and more) so I'm pumped to try it all out on this build instead of just the daily operations.
Here are some photos before I start. I hope you enjoy the process 🤙🏻

I have to say, I'm intrigued by the Super Thick / High and Long seat on the Mini - it looks like a full sized bikes rear end is on it, but even then it's a built up seat.
And then, the Cut down seat on the 07..... I daresay a more 'normal ' seat may be part of the 07 build up?
The crf100 is mine, I opted for a tall seat as I'm 6' tall. I actually haven't asked him about the seat options yet for his build 😆
Can of worms. All I can use to really describe this one. The further I tear into it the worse it gets 😳
Gave it a bath
Didnt even know the sunframe was broken until i went to unbolt the silencer
Ho ho that Bro rode that thing hard. Good Luck on the build.

Messing with the vapor blast cabinet build. Trying to dial it in. Might switch media but so far pretty happy with it.
I’m not sure why but the chain just rolling on the bearings cracked me up. The chain slap must’ve been ridiculous.
Any dirt in the carb? First thing I'd check considering the rest of her. Hope you got a decent price the buy.
I have some showa A kit shocks laying around. I have a few of those bikes.
Its been a long time. But I've started on the build again and making good progress. Not proud of how long it took to get to this point, but I'm rollin on it now. I started a YouTube build series on it if you want to follow along. Im new to editing and recording, but it will hopefully get better as I get feedback.
So far, Ive had the frame repaired, I repaired the subframe, and then I powder coated them gloss black with a faint red metallic flake. As well as a high gloss clear.
Ive welded the master cylinder site glasses shut, as well as repaired the linkage. I sanded a bunch of casting marks out and have a bunch of stuff prepped for coatings. Got the pegs installed, but not sure if the zinc coating on the new brackets is out of place or not. Should I coat them or should I leave it?
New chain guides and rollers, new steering races installed.
From here on I'm going to do better to post updates. But it would be cool to get some feedback on my build series on YT 🤙🏻 I have a couple of other builds coming up after this one as well. My channel is @rollinwnolan
"Weld your best, grind the rest"
Also, does anyone know where I can find a pair of the foot peg hold downs for my lift stand?
Next episode is putting a new seat together. Polisport seat base, guts foam, SKDA seat cover.
New episode is up. I put together the new seat for the CR. Its a Polisport seat base, Guts seat foam, and SKDA cover. Happy with how it turned out. I also installed a tool grid system in my socket drawer. Which was a WHOLE lot of work.
Hey c'mon now you're just showing off with that toolbox lol. Nice setup....and build.
Haha thanks! Not trying to show off, just trying to make some good content 😅 The tool box was a game changer for me, one of my better purchases. Im a full time Marine technician, so it really makes my job more productive and proffesional
where did you get the seat base?
Very nice!
Polisport makes it
Thank you! Bunch of good content coming soon! Finally got the front suspension! And picked a color for powder coating the brakes and shock body
