Hi.,

Just installed my twinair powerflow kit to my 24 kx450. Also removed the rubber thing on the top of the airbox, the one that all of you guys are removing to help the airbox breath a bit better.

Went out and did a couple of laps.

The bike "bogs" a bit when twisting the throttle hard, especially when giving hard throttle on the low rpms.

If i stand still with the bike and idling in neutral and twist the throttle to the max very fast, the bike will die.

Are any of you guys running my setup and could share some mapping tips?

I think this has to be a mapping issue. Maybe give it some more fuel, but where and how much? Ignition map adjustments too?

Sry for my english guys, im from Sweden...

Update your Kawi app and try Keefer's 2025 map settings.

I don't have the twin-air complete kit, but I have an opened up aftermarket cage with the larger air-filters, a PC Ti-6 Pro and Keefer's map.
My 2024 runs great with ethanol free 92 octane pump fuel.

It's not as much of a difference as an aftermarket ECU from a pro tuner, but Keefer's settings smooth out the herky-jerky feeling at very low throttle opening, too.

Cutting out as you roll the throttle open is usually a lean condition on a four stroke.
It's winter, so you have cold dense air and you just installed a mod that lets in more air...
If your issue just started with the airbox mod, you are probably on the lean side of things.

If the airbox wasn't the cause, you may have a clogged fuel filter, a weak fuel pump, or a sensor that is out of range.

I will try the maps from Keefer!

I think we have pretty much the same setup, so if it works for u i think it should work for me also.

Over here i run 98 octane pump fuel with 5% ethanol.

I thought that the fuel mixture adjust to the air temperatur but maybe is does not? That could also be a factor to the lean fuel feeling since i was test riding on our local winter track at -6 C or 21 F.

I have a 2024 and I thought that the ECU would not allow anything over +1 on the ignition settings?? I know for a fact that it used to be that way, as I would try to upload maps with advanced ignition, and it would default back to +1 across the board. I have the latest app version, but have not tried to upload a map with advanced ignition beyond +1...I would be pretty stoked if we can do this on our 2024 bikes now!

I had read this on the forum after I uploaded Keefer's map and rode the bike back to back vs the stock setting.

Reading your post, I wanted to confirm if it was true...
I just checked my app and the ignition changes all revert to +1 AFTER upload.
The app allows you to change the number, but it changes back to a +1 only AFTER you upload it to the ECU.
If you upload from the FI tab, rather than the IG tab, you'd never even see it.

The bike runs well with that setting in my opinion, but the 25 ECU with the greater IG tuning range must be even better.

Thanks for confirming...I was going to check it when I got home tonight! That's a bummer...oh well, mine runs fine, no complaints. But a little more power is always welcomed!
